Jung Hana To School!

Disclaimer: _
Next week's preview of YongSeo's wedding really made my day! I felt so happy when I saw Hyun in her gorgeous wedding dress and Yong looking smart in his tux.
And so, this story just develops itself at the back of my mind and I just had to pen it down... Let's pray for this day day to come true, the day when Yong and Hyun had to send their child to school! It doesn't hurt to imagine right...:P

Jung Hana To School!

Yonghwa continued to sulk. He was not able to agree on Seohyun's idea. He seriously hated it. But Seohyun was just persistent. And now, he just needed to find an alibi to make Seohyun change her mind at least. But what?

Yonghwa continued watching Seohyun flipping through the stacks of brochures which were scattered on the coffee table. She grabbed one brochure and read its contents. He saw her nodding her head as if understanding what the brochure was saying to her. Yonghwa let our a loud exasperating sigh.

"Wae yeobo?" Seohyun asked, peeking at Yonghwa from behind the brochure. She saw the dejected look on his face and she knew why. But she decided to play oblivious about everything.

"Joohyun-ah, I don't think it's the right time yet." Yonghwa said pouting.

"Hm? I don't understand what you're saying." Seohyun shrugged before she continued to focus her attention back to the brochure.

"Don't act stupid. You know what I'm talking about."

"Eh? Sinchia! I don't know what you're trying to say."

"She's too young Joohyun-ah." Yonghwa whined. "She's only two and a half!"

"Two and a half is big enough already." Seohyun said as she put the brochure down on the table.

Since the past month ago, Seohyun had been hinting to Yonghwa about putting their daughter, Hana, into a daycare centre. But of course, Yonghwa was totally against the idea of putting Hana into a school.

"Let's just find a nanny for her okay?" Yonghwa asked in his most sweetest tone.

"Andwae! If we take a nanny for her, then she'll not be able to play with any of her friends!" Seohyun replied.

"Then we'll ask Hyo and Fany to send Jaebum and Kibum here every weekend to play with her! At least she'll still be able to meet some friends like that!"

"Aigoo! We can't bother them too much. They need to spend time with their family too on weekends."

"Don't worry. I'll talk with Junsu and Joongki hyung." Yonghwa said again. "I'm sure they won't mind!"

"Andwae! Hana is going to school and that's final!" Seohyun said without giving Yonghwa a chance to retort back. "I'm going to surf the net to see if I could find any other daycare centres."

With that, Seohyun marched off into the study room, leaving Yonghwa all alone. He continued with his sulkings but at the same time he thought of ways to stop Seohyun's idea with the daycare centre. Of course he wanted Hana to got to school someday but not now. He just thought that Hana was still too young.

Then, Yonghwa grinned as an idea formed in his head. He sat up and walked over to his and Seohyun's room to retrieve his handphone. He dialled the number he was so familiar with.

"Yeobosaeyo?" A voice of a man answered the phone on the other line. Yonghwa smiled.

"Jungshin-ah? It's hyung. I got something to tell you and Minhyuk." Yonghwa said. "Can you two come over?"

*******

Yonghwa was waiting anxiously for Jungshin and Minhyuk to arrive. Seohyun was busy cooking lunch in the kitchen when she knew that Hana's favourite uncles were dropping by.

"Hyung! We're here!" Jungshin called out the moment he entered Yonghwa's house with Minhyuk following closely behind.

"Finally! You guys are here!" Yonghwa exclaimed.

"Where's Hana? I miss her!" Minhyuk asked as he looked around the house.

"Yah! At least greet your sister-in-law first in the kitchen." Yonghwa said. "She's cooking for the two of you, you know that!"

"Ahrasso. You are really a pain sometimes hyung." Jungshin said.

"Hana's in the nursery, playing with the cooking set you guys bought for her last week." Yonghwa informed the two men in front of him causing them to beam proudly.

"I told you she'll love the cooking set!" Minhyuk grinned. Then he and Jungshin went off to the kitchen to greet Seohyun. She was happy to see them and told them to play around with Hana first while she finish with the lunch preparation. After greeting Seohyun, both Minhyuk and Jungshin hurried off towards the nursery to see their favourite niece. Yonghwa was already in the nursery, accompanying his daughter with her pretend play.

"Hana-ya!" Jungshin called out the moment he entered the nursery with his arms outstretched. Hana turned to look at the invader who had disrupted her play. Her long, wavy hair, which was tied up into two cute ponytails, bounced eagerly at her little movements, making her look attractively adorable. But the moment she laid her eyes on Jungshin and Minhyuk, she dropped her toys carelessly at her father's feet and straight away ran into Jungshin's arms. Yonghwa snorted when he looked at the joyful reunion between his daughter and his two band brothers.

"Shin-shin chingoo!" Hana called out as she gave a kiss on Jungshin's cheeks.

"Yah! That's why I don't really like it when the two of you come here." Yonghwa grimaced. "She gets too attached to you too much. It makes me jealous, surprisingly."

Minhyuk laughed as he got his chance to hug Hana, ignoring whatever Yonghwa was saying. Yonghwa glared at his guests before marching forward to close the door to the nursery room. Jungshin and Minhyuk stared at him, confused.

"Why did you close the door hyung?" Jungshin asked as he sat himself down beside the cooking set while Hana continued playing. She was offering a cup of tea to her two uncles.

"Listen here. I have a situation which I need your help with, both of you." Yonghwa said, suddenly his voice lowered down.

"Is it that important? And why are we whispering?" Jungshin asked in a soft whisper as well.

"It is about Hana." Yonghwa said earning looks of curiosity from both Jungshin and Minhyuk.

"Wae? What about her? Is she sick? Is she hurt somewhere?" Minhyuk asked as he grasp Hana's hands looking for any marks on her small frame. "Did you and hyungsoo-nim beat her? If you do, I won't let you get away with it!"

"Yah! She's our daughter! How could we beat her!" Yonghwa exclaimed, causing Minhyuk to cower a little.

"Mianhe." Minhyuk shrugged.

"Appa, why are you angry?" Hana asked in her little baby voice. Yonghwa turned to look at his daughter and smiled before pulling her close to him.

"Ani, I'm not angry princess. My voice is loud naturally." Yonghwa told his daughter who just nodded in understanding. On the other side, Minhyuk and Jungshin shook their heads in disgust upon hearing Yonghwa's answer.

"Hyung, what's the important thing that you want to tell us about Hana?" Jungshin asked once again.

"What do you think about Hana going to school now?" Yonghwa directed the questions at Jungshin and Minhyuk. He needed to know their opinions about this matter.

"School? Isn't she too young for school?" Minhyuk gasped.

"Hyung, you want to send Hana to school this early? She hasn't even turn three yet! What if she cries? Who's going to see to her?" Jungshin asked.

"That's what I was thinking about too the moment Seohyun mentioned about putting her in a daycare centre!" Yonghwa explained. "It's all Seohyun's idea! Not mine!"

"Sinchia? Aigoo! What made her think of all these suddenly?" Minhyuk sighed.

"She said Hana's big enough to enter a school. She needs friends. Can you imagine that?" Yonghwa groaned.

"Hana-ya, do you want to go to school?" Jungshin asked Hana when she came to him to offer him another cup of make-believe tea.

"Ne." Hana answered brightly, as she nodded her head, surprising the three men in the nursery.

"Ah, wae?"

"Omma say I will meet a lot of friends in school!" Hana opened up her hands wide to show the amount of friends she would have.

"Ah sinchia?" Jungshin scratched his head.

"It seems Seohyun has been talking to her about school." Yonghwa said.

"We have to talk to her about this." Minhyuk said as he stood up. "Come Hana, let's have lunch first okay?"

Hana nodded her head before running towards Minhyuk's opened arms. He carried her out of the nursery and headed straight towards the dining area. Yonghwa and Jungshin followed. The school topic needed to be discussed soon.

"Hyungsoo-nim, she's still young! You can't possibly send her to school at this young age!" Jungshin said as put his spoon down on the table. "I even started going to school when I was four. Two and a half is still too small!"

"Jungshin chingoo, you are never too small or too young to start studying." Seohyun answered in a cool tone. "And you are also never too old to start learning. Haven't you heard of that saying before?"

"Jagi-ya, I like it very much if Hana were to go to school, but not now. Let's wait till she reach the age of four okay?" Yonghwa pleaded.

"Andwae. I already made an appointment with one of the daycare centres." Seohyun told Yonghwa. "We'll be meeting the principal tomorrow."

"Hyungsoo-nim! Please think it through." Minhyuk said as he assisted Yonghwa and Jungshin in the pleadings.

"You three always never think before you speak." Seohyun shook her head in annoyment. "At least take a look at the brochures of the schools which I plan to put Hana in. It's a playgroup school and Hana will be spending about two hours each day there except for the weekends of course. I just want Hana to meet with other children her age and have fun playing with them. While playing, she could at least learn the proper manners and also learn to share and care for her friends. She's spoilt enough staying at her grandmother's house everyday. And she is even spoilt by the two of you who would always buy all the things which she asks for." Seohyun glared at Jungshin and Minhyuk.

"Well, we love her, that's why." Jungshin shrugged.

"I know you are fond of her. I love her too but I don't want her to be too dependent on us. She need to learn that there are some things which we could not get for her." Seohyun continued. "It's best if she learn the correct things when she is still young. And now is the best time."

"I understand now yeobo. Okay, let's meet the principal tomorrow then." Yonghwa smiled as he grasped Seohyun's hand and rubbed it gently.

Jungshin and Minhyuk just nodded in understanding. The two of them looked over at Hana who was sitting on her high chair, trying to feed rice into her mouth. She grinned when she caught sight of her uncles looking at her. Minhyuk and Jungshin sighed. They could not deny the fact whatever Seohyun had just said to them were all true.

One month later...

Seohyun and Yonghwa watched as Hana struggled in her teacher's arms, crying hard. She had her hands stretched out towards her parents. Yonghwa sighed. He really wanted to run over towards Hana and console her but he knew it was not going to help Hana settle down. So the only thing he did was pull Seohyun aside until they were out of sight, away from Hana's view.

Yonghwa looked at Seohyun who was sobbing. He shook his head as he pulled his wife close towards him.

"Why are you crying love?" Yonghwa asked, stroking Seohyun's hair tenderly.

"Did I do the wrong thing yeobo? She crying like that, it hurts me." Seohyun said, her sobbings getting harder.

"Aigoo! The mummy's crying is even worse that the daughter's." Yonghwa teased causing Seohyun to pout in response. Yonghwa laughed. "You did nothing wrong dear. Hana's just having the separation anxiety. She'll get over it soon."

"You think so?"

"I know so. She's our daughter, I know her." Yonghwa said, encouraging Seohyun.

"How come you know so much about this?" Seohyun eyed her husband curiously.

"Well, I've been reading books too. Especially for toddlers who enters school for the first time." Yonghwa grinned.

"Ah sinchia!" Seohyun laughed as she wiped her tears.

"Let's have some breakfast first while waiting for Hana to finish school." Yonghwa said.

Seohyun nodded, smiling. "Ahrasso. Let's go."

Two hours later...

"I would like to fetch my daughter, Jung Hana." Yonghwa told one of the teachers at the gate who nodded her head with a smile.

Both Yonghwa and Seohyun waited anxiously for their daughter to come out. The moment they saw her, the two of them smiled in relief. And what surprised them even more was to see Hana's bright smile as she walked towards them with full of confidence. There was no traces of tears on her face unlike when she first came to the daycare centre earlier.

"Omma! Appa!" Hana exclaimed running towards into her parents' warm embrace.

"Aigoo! You look happy!" Yonghwa said as he carried Hana up.

"Appa! I love to go to school so much!" Hana spoke excitedly.

"Ah sinchia? What did you do today?" Seohyun asked.

"Um, playing toys, colouring, playing toys and colouring!" Hana replied happily causing Seohyun to laugh.

"See, I told you there's nothing to worry about right?" Yonghwa whispered into Seohyun's ears.

Seohyun glared at her husband in return. "I should be the one telling you that yeobo." Seohyun said. "Who was the one who wasn't agreeable to send Hana to school in the first place?"

"Aish! Ahrasso, ahrasso. It was me and I was wrong." Yonghwa admitted defeat.

Seohyun laughed as she gave a kiss on her husband's cheek as well as a kiss on Hana's forhead. Finally, everything turned out better than expected.
