IT'S DELIVERY TIME!!!

Mr Seo had volunteered to drive both Yonghwa and Seohyun to the hospital. Yonghwa sat himself beside Seohyun holding her close to him. As the car started to move, Yonghwa suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to buckle the seatbelt on for Seohyun. So he leaned across Seohyun to pull onto the seatbelt but never did he expected to be suddenly pushed roughly by Seohyun herself. Her facial expression portrayed annoyance and Yonghwa was unable to do anything except to gulp nervously. Was this what the Joongki hyung was trying to tell him during their meet-up previously?

"Ah sinchia! What are you doing?" Seohyun asked. Her eyes were glaring intensely at him.

"I-I want to help you with the seatbelt." Yonghwa explained.

"Are you crazy? Nobody cares about the damn seatbelts when they're in labor!" Seohyun snapped.

Yonghwa was taken aback. His eyes shifted to the rear view mirror to see his father in law looking at him with an apologetic look in his eyes. Mr Seo gave a shrug before shifting his eyes back onto the road ahead. Yonghwa sighed dejectedly. He looked over at Seohyun who was shifting in her seat. She seemed uncomfortable. So Yonghwa slid nearer and pulled Seohyun back towards his chest. Seohyun sighed as she closed her eyes. Yonghwa smiled. At least she was not pulling herself away from his embrace. That was all he needed.

Yonghwa felt Seohyun reaching out for his hand. He smiled wider and allowed her to grasp it. But as soon as she held it, she started to squeeze it yet again. Yonghwa winced and he thought that it felt as if he was being electrified. And this time Seohyun's fingernails were biting into his skin, almost piercing right through his flesh!

Finally, after a few centuries later, Seohyun let go of his hand n breathed hard. Yonghwa turned to glare at his wife who just plainly ignored him. "Must you do that everytime?" Yonghwa asked. "Give me a sign at least Joohyun-ah."

Seohyun turned her head ever so slowly until she was looking at him straight in the eye. "Wae? Are you complaining now? I'm in pain for goodness sake!"

"Okay, okay I'm sorry." Yonghwa sighed, surrendering. He really did not want to trigger her anger during her labor. "You can do whatever you want with my hand. Just don't stress yourself. It'll affect the baby."

Seohyun shook her head in regret. "The baby? Just the baby? In the end it's all about the baby right? Never about me!"

"A-ani, I was just..."

"You just wanted the baby didn't you?! YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ME!" Seohyun suddenly shouted before crying hysterically. Her sobs got harder when Yonghwa placed his hand around her shoulder, trying to comfort her. "DON'T TOUCH ME!"

"Baby, listen to me..."

"SEE! YOU NEVER CALL ME BABY BEFORE! THAT'S THE PROOF YOU ONLY WANTED THE BABY AND NOT ME!" Seohyun wailed even louder.

"No! I did not mean it that way!" Yonghwa replied in a panic. Seohyun was struggling fiercely that it made even difficult for Yonghwa to put the situation under control.

"No! I don't want to listen to anything." Seohyun shook her head again, both her hands covering her ears. "I HATE YOU JUNG YONG HWA!"

Yonghwa was not able to do anything as he just sat there watching his wife continue to cry and scream without any reasons at all. Suddenly he felt the car being swerved sharply to the right, stopping suddenly at the road shoulder. Yonghwa gaped at his father in law who had turned his head towards him and Seohyun.

"Seo Joo Hyun." Mr Seo started speaking, his tone low and serious. "Your mother and I had never in our lives teach our daughter to be rude. Jung Yong Hwa here is your husband. Talking that way to him is definitely unacceptable. Doesn't matter if you are in labor or not. You should control yourself. As far as I'm concerned, he has been very sincere in looking after you, as you're his wife. He's doing everything he can to please you. And I know he's been doing this because he loves you. So will you stop putting the blames on him. And whatever you were saying earlier were just unreasonable."

Seohyun had her head bent down, biting her lips. Her father had always doted on her, and always talked to her in the most friendliest ways that she could ever think off. But on seldom occasions, when she might had accidentally did a mistake or whatsoever, he would just had to lower down his voice to that serious tone and Seohyun would get back to her senses, immediately. Similarly to the situation at hand. She looked timid for a moment, before nodding her head obediently.

"So what should you say to him?" Mr Seo was still in the midst of his lecture to his daughter.

"Mianhe. Mianhe yeobo-ya." Seohyun whispered as she looked at Yonghwa with tear-strained eyes. "I will not do it again." Seohyun started sobbing again as she leaned into Yonghwa embrace.

Yonghwa was suddenly speechless. He could do nothing except to return her hug. The next thing he knew was Mr Seo had gotten the car back on the road. Yonghwa looked at the rear view mirror. And for the second time that night, he met his father in law's eyes in the mirror. Yonghwa nodded at him whereas he just smiled before showing a thumbs up sign towards Yonghwa.

Yonghwa smiled in return. He felt good suddenly when Mr Seo suddenly took his side instead of his daughter's. That indeed felt good. But Yonghwa's smile soon faltered and he winced again when he felt his arms being gripped by Seohyun as she tried to overcome her contractions once again.

******

Yonghwa stood fixed to the ground helplessly as he watched Seohyun being pushed into the labor room to be observed first. His father in law stood beside him, his hand on Yonghwa's shoulder.

"She'll be fine." Mr Seo told him, his voice cool. "She's a strong girl, my daughter."

"I know." Yonghwa's reply was short. But his faith towards his father in law's words were indeed strong.

"Are all pregnant women like that?" Yonghwa asked as he motioned towards the labor room to his father in law.

Mr Seo laughed. "Ani, not all. But I sure do know of someone who had similar reactions as her."

"Really? Who?"

"Seohyun's mother. Your mother in law." Mr Seo nodded his head before breaking into laughter once again. "I still remember that time when she was about to deliver Seohyun. It was a hard time for me too. Just like you, I wasn't allowed to say anything. If I did, then she'd be screaming at me none stop."

"Aigoo. Now that I experienced it, I know how hard it is." Yonghwa shook his head. "But I'm lucky that you're there to back me up. She listens to you well."

"Of course. I'm her father." Mr Seo said, smiling. "At that time, my father in law did the same thing. He scolded Seohyun's omma for shouting at me. That I learnt from him. Now that you know too, please do the same thing in future, for your future son in law." Mr Seo laughed harder.

"Aigoo! Future son in law? It'll be a long time before she'll even get her first boyfriend, I'll make sure on that." Yonghwa grinned.

"Don't you know Yonghwa? Kids these days grow up fast." Mr Seo said, sadness in his eyes. "One moment you see she's a baby, still in your arms, and the next thing you know, she's already in her high school, then bocoming someone famous in a blink of an eye. And suddenly she has her first boyfriend. Then they got married and now she's going to become a mother herself..."

"You're talking about Seohyun right?" Yonghwa grinned and Mr Seo nodded. A smile enveloping his wrinkled face.

"And I'm glad she has a husband like you." Mr Seo pat Yonghwa on the shoulder.

"Gamsahamida abeonim." Yonghwa said thankfully.

"Mr Jung?" A woman clad in a white nurses' uniform came up.

"Ah ne?" Yonghwa quickly answered.

"Your wife's dilation is already eight centimetres. She's ready for birth." The nurse told him. "Will you follow me please." It was not a question, but more of an order. So Yonghwa hurriedly went off after saying goodbye to his father in law.

"Fighting!" Mr Seo managed to shout out and Yonghwa raised up his fist, an excited smile on his face.

******

The moment Yonghwa stepped into the labor room, he was greeted with the feelings of anxiousness. He could see some other nurses moving around the room. They were calm unlike him. The room was brightly lit. It feels similar like as if he was sitting in front of the vanity morror with bright lights surrounding it. Yonghwa blinked several times to adjust his eyes to the brightness before he allowed it to travel to the woman who was currently lying down on the labor bed. She looked tired and pale. Yonghwa's heart reached out to her. He was sorry to see her like that. His heart ached for her. He rushed forward to her side.

"Joohyun-ah? Love? I'm here now." Yonghwa said soothingly into Seohyun's ear.

Seohyun looked up to see her husband beside her, in a green hospital gown with a mask hung loose around his neck. She smiled as she felt him holding her hand gently. "Love?" Seohyun whispered.

"Yes?" Yonghwa eagerly answered, leaning his ears closer to Seohyun's lips.

"I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier. I was just unable to control myself." Seohyun said, inhaling her breath deeply as if trying to hold onto the pain.

"It's okay love. I promised you before that I will understand your situation during birth right?" Yonghwa still calmly whispered. Seohyun nodded. "I'm keeping my promise okay?" Seohyun nodded again. "So now, just keep quiet and focused on your breathing techniques. The one you learnt before."

Then Seohyun started screaming and unconciously squeezed Yonghwa's hand again. Yonghwa did not seem to bother about his paining hand but instead he kept whispering soothing words to his wife. Seohyun was perspiring, the crown of the head was wet with sweat.

"The dilations coming to a perfect ten centimetres." A nurse said.

"Hello Mr Jung! We meet again." A woman who was covered in a green hospital gown said brightly to Yonghwa. She had a mask covering her face so Yonghwa was not able to recognise her. The only thing he managed to do was nodded his head at her.

"Is she medicated or not?" The woman asked one of the nurses in the room.

"Unmedicated doctor."

'Ah! She's a doctor. But who?' Yonghwa wondered.

"Okay Joohyun, please listen to me properly." The doctor started talking to Seohyun. "You are ready for birth and you might have the urge to push your baby out. I will be here to guide you through the labor process."

Seohyun only managed to nod her head before letting out another scream. Tears were running down her face as her contractions were occuring very often.

Suddenly, Yonghwa felt his arm being pulled by the doctor towards the front of the labor room. Yonghwa suddenly felt awkward as he found himself staring at Seohyun's opened legs in front of him. He started blushing unknowingly but that was before the doctor pointed something to him in between the pair of opened legs, somewhere right in the middle... that was when he saw it...

"It's your daughter's head." The doctor managed to give a wink to Yonghwa causing him to gape. Then he ran back to where Seohyun was, grasped her hand again and cheered her on.

"Love, you can do it! I can see her head already!" Yonghwa said excitedly, his own tears streaming.

"Ah sinchia! Liar, don't lie to me!" Seohyun said, breathing heavily.

"It's true! I'm not lying!"

"Okay Joohyun, PUSH!" The doctor cried out. Seohyun ignored Yonghwa immediately to listen to the doctor. Yonghwa on the other hand kept on cheering for his wife. "PUSH!"

"That's it! A little bit more. PUSH!"

Yonghwa was breathing heavily. He felt himself pushing as well. Seohyun's grip on his hand was left forgotten. He could not seem to feel the pain anymore. Seohyun on the other hand had stopped screaming and was using all the strength and power to give birth to their child, their princess... and still PUSHing!

"One more time Joohyun, PUSH!"

Then before they knew it, a loud defeaning cry filled up the entire labor room. Letting go of Seohyun's hand, Yonghwa suddenly knelt down on the floor stunned. Seohyun leaned back, closed her eyes and tried to catch her breath. She had never felt so tired before.

The next thing Seohyun knew, something was being placed on her chest. She opened her eyes to see a bundle in white in front of her. The bundle was crying and as if on instinct, Seohyun grabbed hold of the bundle and held it close to her face. Right then and there, that was the first time Seohyun saw her. The fair and lovely face of her beautiful daughter, their princess.

The baby stopped crying instantly the moment Seohyun had her arms draped around her little body. The warmth her mother provided for her was enough to sooth her cries.

"My baby." Seohyun whispered tenderly as she placed little kisses on top of her daughter's head. "Yeobo! It's our baby!"

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jung. It's a girl." Finally the doctor said as she revealed her face. It was indeed Dr Kim, Seohyun's gyne.

"D-Doctor? How did you know Seohyun's giving birth today? I hadn't manage to contact you at all!" Yonghwa gasped.

"Well, to tell you the truth, Seohyun's been updating me via sms. So that's how I arrive in time for the delivery." Dr Kim smiled. "I think you should take a look at your daughter first. I won't hold you." With that Dr Kim left the labor room.

Yonghwa, as if just woke up from a trance, immediately ran over to Seohyun. He stopped for a moment when he saw their bundle of joy in his wife's arms. Slowly he bent down beside Seohyun. He held out a finger and gently stroke the baby's cheek.

"She's real." Yonghwa said causing Seohyun to chuckle.

"Of course she's real!" Seohyun replied.

"She's really here! I can't believe it." Yonghwa said again. He felt tears enveloping his eyes.

"So it's Hana right? Jung Hana?" Seohyun asked as she faced her husband, looking straight into his eyes.

"Of course. Uri Jung Hana." Yonghwa smiled before he bent down to kiss his Hana's cheek.

"I'm sorry Mr and Mrs Jung, we would like to take your baby first, give her a proper cleaning and then we'll send her to you for breast-feeding. I hope you don't mind." One of the nurses said shyly.

Seohyun felt disheartened the moment Hana was taken away from her arms. But at the same time she was relieved because then she would finally be able to rest. Seohyun's eyeslids suddenly felt rather heavy. Before she knew it, sleep had overcome her, dreaming of the sweetness that only she would know.

Yonghwa smiled as he watched Seohyun slept. He stroked her hair away from her face before leaning down and give a lingering kiss on her forehead. "Thank you so much love. Thank you so much!"

Outside the hospital, the news of the birth of Jung Hana was spreading fast like wildfire within the CNBlue members and of course the ex-SNSD ladies!

Prequel Set 9 Part 2 - The Active Phase

Part 2 - The Active Phase

The minute they reached home from the hospital, Yonghwa immediately helped Seohyun into bed. With the help of Mrs Jung, the mattress cover had already been changed. Seohyun smiled gratefully at her mother in law and could not stop thanking her. But Mrs Jung just waived it off and kept saying that it was the least she could do to help. The conversation between his wife and his mother, left Yonghwa standing in amusement. He could not help but think that they were just too polite!

Mrs Jung had cut some peaches for Seohyun and gave it to her. Again, the changes of 'thank you's and 'it's okay's were heard causing Yonghwa to grin again. How he just loved the two women in front of him! He watched as his mother feed some peaches to Seohyun. He felt touched that he was unable to take it anymore. So he walked towards them, and laid a kiss on top of each of their heads causing the two women to look up at him in surprised.

"Uh? What was that for?" His mother had asked, her face portrayed confusion. Seohyun on the other hand just nodded, her eyes asking the same thing.

"I-I-I'm just thankful." Yonghwa stuttered unable to express himself all of a sudden. "Thank you for just being here, the two of you."

Mrs Jung suddenly understood what her son was trying to say. She got up from the bed and hugged her son. "Don't worry, omma's always here for you. Even when you're married, I'll still be here."

Seohyun bit her lips. The scene before her touched her heart. Tears started to trail down her cheeks and she quickly had them wiped away. How she suddenly wished that her own mother was here with her right now. She wanted her omma too.

As if knowing what Seohyun had just thought of, Mrs Jung said, "I called your parents already Joohyun-ah. They'll be coming soon."

Seohyun smiled widely. How she adored her mother in law so much. She seemed to know everything! "Gamsahamida ommoni. Sinchia gamsahamida."

"It's the least I could do." Mrs Jung smiled. "Hurry up, go get some rest you two."

"Ahrasso ommoni." Seohyun and Yonghwa answered as they watched the older woman walked out of their room. And minutes later, Seohyun and Yonghwa were fast asleep.

******

Two hours later, Seohyun suddenly woke up from her deep slumber. She needed the toilet very ungently. She looked over at Yonghwa who was in a deep sleep. She could not possibly wake him up. So she decided to be independent and walked to the toilet by herself. But the moment she made a move to get down from the bed, Yonghwa suddenly sprung up and the next second she knew, he was already beside her, helping her.

"Ah! Sinchia! Why didn't you wake me up?" Yonghwa asked, frowning.

"Y-You were sleeping well, I don't want to disturb you." Seohyun said, her lips forming into a little pout.

"Still, you know you need the help right?" Yonghwa shook his head in annoyment. Sometimes she was just too concerned of others and never think about herself first.

Yonghwa helped Seohyun whilst she was in the toilet to make sure that she was fine. Then he helped her back to the bed. They took small steps. Then suddenly, Seohyun stopped walking and gripped Yonghwa's hands tightly causing him to yelp in response. He looked at his wife, totally confused. A few minutes later her grip loosened and Yonghwa took a deep breath trying to ease the pain in his hands.

"Wae? What was that?" Yonghwa asked the moment Seohyun was safe in bed.

"I think I just had my first contraction." Seohyun replied, smiling tiredly.

"Ah! Sinchia?" Yonghwa frowned with worry. "Should we go to the hospital again?"

"Ani. We don't have to. It might just be the Braxton Hicks contractions."

"AH..." Yonghwa nodded his head. "But what is that? Braz-Braxton Hicks?"

"Braxton Hicks." Seohyun corrected him. "Braxton Hicks is a false or practice labor contractions."

"So you mean it's a false alarm?"

"Hm, something like that." Seohyun nodded her head as she leaned back against her pillows. "There'll be more of it."

"So you'll be squeezing my hands more often then?" Yonghwa asked.

Seohyun laughed. "Alright, I won't squeeze your hands again after this."

"Ani. It's alright. I should feel the pain of labor too." Yonghwa winked. "Aigoo. It must have been painful for you right?"

"It's not painful, just felt uncomfortable. The pain will come in the later part of the contractions."

"I see." Yonghwa nodded. "Okay, now I want you to rest. Get some sleep again. It's only eight in the morning."

"Aigoo! i slept enough already!" Seohyun whined.

"Ahrasso, ahrasso." Yonghwa said as he slipped into bed next to her. Seohyun adjusted herself so that she was leaning against Yonghwa instead in her highly stacked pillows. "Should I sing you a lullaby then?"

Seohyun's smile widened. She loves listening to Yonghwa's voice. "Okay. Sing for me the banmal song, your version. Our baby wants to listen to it too." Seohyun rubbed her belly once more.

"Okay then..." And Yonghwa proceeded to sing the song until he managed to get Seohyun to sleep.

******

"Aigoo! What happened here again?" Mrs Jung asked as she threw the laundry basket down onto the floor and rushed towards Seohyun and Yonghwa. Seohyun had her hands wrapped around Yonghwa's hands again, squeezing it tightly. Yonghwa who was getting immuned to his wife's grip just bit his lips.

"Aniyo ommoni." Seohyun finally said once she felt the contraction fading. "Just another contraction. I'll be fine."

"How long is the contraction that you're having now?" Mrs Jung asked worriedly.

"It's still around twenty minutes apart." Seohyun told her.

Mrs Jung looked at her daughter in law in awe. "You've been reading a lot haven't you?"

Seohyun smiled. "It's what I love to do. Furthermore it gives me more information on labor."

"You're such a darling!" Mrs Jung pinched her cheeks gently before going off to continue with the laundry.

"What was that about? We need to time the contraction as well?" Yonghwa asked in disbelief. "Is twenty minutes apart good or not?"

"Twenty minutes is quite long, so in other words, i'm still not ready for birth yet." Seohyun explained.

"So how long must the contractions be in order for us to know the right time for birth?"

"Hm, if I'm not mistaken, if the contractions is within three to five minutes."

"Okay, call me immediately when that happens." Yonghwa reminded.

Seohyun laughed. "Ahrasso yeobo. You'll be the first one to know."

Just then a car horn sounded just outside the house. Yonghwa immediately got up and went to take a look. He smiled the moment he saw Seohyun's mother and father getting off the car.

"Ommonim, abeonim!" Yonghwa went out to greet the couple. They were smiling as they saw their son in law coming their way.

"Yonghwa-ya, how are you?" Mrs Seo asked when Yonghwa took hold of the bags which were in her hands.

"I'm fine ommonim. Please come in." Yonghwa led them towards the front door and waited for them to go inside. "Joohyun-ah, your mother and father are here."

Seohyun smile brightened the moment she saw her mother and father entered the house. She held out her hands to her mother who scooted towards her in a hurry. Her father lingered back with Yonghwa, quietly observing the loving exchange between the mother and daughter.

"Hyun-ah, you've been well?" Mrs Seo asked as she caressed her daughter's cheeks tenderly.

"Ne ommoni. I'm doing fine." Seohyun replied.

"Have you had your contractions yet?"

"Ne. It's still quite far apart."

"Good, good."

Seohyun turned her head to look at her father. "Abeoji, aren't you going to hug your pregnant daughter here?"

"Of course I have too!" Mr Seo exclaimed as he walked closer towards Seohyun. "I'm giving your mother a chance to hug you first."

"Ah jeongmal!" Seohyun grinned.

"Aigoo! I can't believe you're going to be a mother soon!" Mr Seo sighed. Both him and his wife were already seated on either side of Seohyun on the sofa.

"Someday I have to give grandchildren to the two of you right?" Seohyun leaned her head onto her father's shoulder.

"I'm proud of the two of you." Mrs Seo said, gesturing to Yonghwa and Seohyun. "You've gone through a lot to be together, until you're married and even now, going to be a mother and father soon. I just envy you."

"Ommoni, wae? We should be the ones to envy you and not the other way round." Seohyun said.

"What we've gone through is quite easy and simple. I met your dad and we fell in love and then we got married. Then we have you. And finally, we live happily ever after." Mrs Seo continued. "But the two of you have to go through with the singer's contracts first, then the underground dating, facing the wrath of your fans, wait for a few years first and then when things were quiet enough, you got married, then wait for another few years again, then have a child. Isn't it adventurous enough to you?"

Seohyun and Yonghwa laughed. It was so true! And they had never thought of their relationship that way, an adventure. A perfect adventure!

The conversations carried on throughout the day. At the same time, Seohyun still felt the contractions during the late mornings and also in the afternoons but she still kept her calm and regularly check her contractions timing.

Finally it was dinner time. The whole family were gathered at the table; Yonghwa, Seohyun, Yonghwa's mother and Seohyun's parents. Seohyun's mother and Yonghwa's mother worked hand in hand to produce the mouth-watering dishes prepared on the table. Most of it were Yonghwa's and Seohyun's favourite food.

Yonghwa was eating well at dinner. However Seohyun suddenly had a lost in her appetite. She knew her contractions were coming at a regular pace now. Her last timing was about six minutes apart. The time range was getting shorter whereas the contractions were lasting longer than before.

"Please excuse me for a moment." Seohyun stood up, her hands holding at the side of the table tightly.

"Where are you going?" Yonghwa asked as he stood up beside his wife as well.

"I need to go to the washroom." Seohyun whispered.

"I'll just go and help Joohyun for a moment." Yonghwa informed the elders around the table who just nodded their heads and smiled.

Yonghwa quickly escorted Seohyun to the toilet. "I'll be fine." Seohyun said the moment they reached the toilet door.

"Let me come in with you." Yonghwa persuaded as he tried to push himself in into the toilet together with his wife.

"No need. I can manage." Seohyun told him, pushing him back out.

"Ahrasso, just don't lock the door." Yonghwa told her and she nodded.

Seohyun went in and closed the door behind her. Yonghwa on the other hand had leaned his body against the wall beside the toilet door. He waited patiently and worriedly for Seohyun to come out.

"AHHHHH!!!"

Yonghwa straightened up the moment he heard Seohyun screamed. He quickly forced himself into the unlocked toilet door to see his wife seated on the toilet bowl with her maternity dress rode up to her waist and her panties pooled around her feet. Usually, that kind of sight would make him grinned in amusement followed by a tinge of arousal but at that point of time he was enveloped with another feeling, feeling of worry.

"Love! What happened?" Yonghwa asked as he knelt down in front of his wife.

Seohyun looked at her husband and sobbed. "B-b-blood. There's blood on my panties!"

Yonghwa gulped as he looked down. And true enough there were stains of blood on her panties and that made him scared.

"How long is your contraction now?" Yonghwa asked again, now fully understanding Seohyun's explanation on contractions earlier.

"I-I-I lost count." Seohyun stammered. "Less that six minutes? Five? Four? Three? I'm not sure."

"Let's get you to the hospital." Yonghwa said as calmly as possible. He helped Seohyun with her cleaning and got her ready to go out of the toilet. He was not going to allow his wife to walk and so he mustered all his strength to lift her up bridal style.

"OMMONI!" Yonghwa cried as he passed the dining table, with Seohyun in his hands. Their parents had shocked expressions on their faces upon seeing the scene before them. "OPEN THE CAR DOOR FOR ME! JOOHYUN'S IN LABOR!"

Prequel Set 9 Part 1 - The Early Phase

Part 1 - The Early Phase

Month 9
Week 36

Seohyun ran, feeling the soft breeze blowing into her curls. Her steps were light and for a moment she thought that she was bouncing on large clouds. Large fluffy ones, which would never hurt her even if she were to accidentally fell.

She stopped running the moment she reached the end of the beach. She smiled. Finally, paradise! She closed her eyes as she sniffed in the smell of the sea. The scent lingered somewhere in her mind. It was indeed familiar. It reminded her of the first time she came to Busan to visit her mother in law. It was Yonghwa who introduced that scent to her, Yonghwa, her husband.

Suddenly she felt warm hands circling her waist from behind. She smiled wider. She knew those hands fully well. Tilting her head a little to the back, she saw his gentle smile. He was her love, he was her life, he was her heartbeat, he was her Yonghwa.

Yonghwa pulled Seohyun closer towards his chest, embracing her tighter before burrying his face into her wavy brown locks. She felt his love, his strong love for her. And she wanted to return the same feelings. Slowly, she turned around, wrapping her arms around his neck. Looking up into his face, she smiled as she leaned in to kiss his lips.

The kiss was slow, almost deliberately. Seohyun sighed when she felt Yonghwa nibbling gently on her bottom lips causing her to open her mouth further to allow his tongue to explore hers. She moaned in protest when she felt him sucking onto her tongue but never had the least intention to pull back from the kiss. They kissed deeper, holding onto each other desperately, never wanting to let go. Seohyun felt her knees gave in, almost losing her balance. But thankfully, Yonghwa skillfully held onto her tight, pulling her even closer to him. Their heartbeats soared, joined together as one. But still they fell onto the damp sand. Seohyun could feel the water of waves hitting her feet. She was getting wet.

The next thing she suddenly realised that she was alone. Yonghwa was nowhere to be found. She was all alone, laying wet by the beach. Seohyun closed her eyes, crying softly, hugging her own body. She was still getting wet. That was all she remembered. She was wet, too wet... It was really wet...

Seohyun opened her eyes, suddenly sitting up. It was pitch dark. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she was able to see roughly where she was at that moment. Seohyun heaved a sigh of relief. She was in her bedroom and Yonghwa was sleeping soundly beside her. Whatever happened earlier was just a dream. The beach, the breeze, the kiss, all of it had happened in her dream. The waves and the sea water soaking her wet were also a dream... Wait! A dream? Then why was her thighs wet? It's impossible that she had wet herself right? For God's sake she was a grown woman, a wife and a mother-to-be! She can't possibly be wetting on the bed could she?

Seohyun groaned as she fingered the side table beside her bed and turned on the lamp. It got brighter suddenly that she just had to squint her eyes for a moment before they adjusted themselves yet again to the brightness. Her eyes managed a glace at the alarm clock on the table, which showed the timing, four in the morning. Feeling a bit irritated, Seohyun got out of bed. But the moment she stood up, she could feel water running down her legs. It was a waterfall!

Seohyun gulped. Was it what she thought it was? Was she in labor?

"Yeobo-ya..." Seohyun called out to Yonghwa who was still soundly asleep. "Wake up please..."

"Hm...?" Yonghwa replied, his eyes still closed.

"Can you please wake up?" Seohyun asked again, turning to look at her husband.

"Hm... Hyun-ah, it's still early..." Yonghwa groaned. "Come back into bed will you? Here..." Yonghwa pat Seohyun's side of the bed as a sign for her to climb back in.

"I can't." Seohyun said, rolling her eyes.

"Aish! Why is it wet here?" Yonghwa squinted his eyes, trying to defend them for the brightness. He held up his hand to his nose, smelling the liquid which he just touched ealier.

"That's what I was trying to tell you." Seohyun sighed. "I think my water bag broke."

Yonghwa sat on the bed, with his legs crossed. His eyes were still half-closed as he looked up at Seohyun. He gave his head a light scratching. "What water bag? We don't have a water bag in bed."

Seohyun slapped a hand on her forehead. Her husband could be so silly sometimes. "My water bag, as in my water bag as in I am pregnant, with your daughter. Does that ring a bell?"

Suddenly, even before you could finish saying 'Dae-Han-Min-Guk', Yonghwa was already out of the bed, his eyes wide, as he stood in front of Seohyun, holding onto her shoulders.

"Are you hurting? Do you want to lie down? Should I call a doctor here? No! We should go to the hospital right away!" Yonghwa started saying. He was in a state of panic. "Wait! I should wake ommoni first!"

Yonghwa headed towards their bedroom door in a flash. But he suddenly stopped and headed back towards Seohyun. "Do you want to lie down?" He asked again, a worried look on his face.

"Ani. Just go and wake ommoni first. I'll be fine." Seohyun told him. As much as she herself was in a worried state, she was still able to keep her cool. She had read it before, in her pregnancy books. She was sure she was in her first stage of labor. But it did not mean that she was about to give birth anytime soon. She had not had her contractions yet. But she was sure she would feel it soon. Very soon.

"Okay, you-you just sit first." Yonghwa helped Seohyun back to the bed, allowing her to sit. "Don't think of even standing!"

"Ah! What is wrong with you?" Seohyun almost let out a laugh upon seeing the panic-stricked look on Yonghwa's face.

"I'm going to wake ommoni. If you feel pain or anything while I'm gone, just shout okay?" Yonghwa said, holding onto Seohyun's hand tightly.

"Ah sinchia! Ommoni is just next door!" Seohyun shook her head, smirking.

"But still! Anything can happen when I'm not here beside you!" Yonghwa told her, his eyes misty with tears. Seohyun bit back a smile, suddenly feeling very guilty for making fun of him.

"Ahrasso." Seohyun nodded, looking down. "Pali, go and come back!"

"Wait for me." Yonghwa said before he ran out of the room to wake his mother up.

******

"Let's just get you to the hospital, just to be safe." Mrs Jung said as she helped Seohyun change into something dry.

"Yes, let's do that. Come Joohyun-ah." Yonghwa slipped one of his hands around his wife's waist and the other holding onto her hand. He slowly led her out of the room, towards the front door.

"Ommoni, you stay at home. Call aboeji just in case." Yonghwa managed to say as he helped Seohyun into the backseat of the car. As always, he never forgotten to put on the seatbelt for his wife, even if it was during an emergency such as this. "Call Joohyun's mother and father as well!"

"Ne. You just go first." Mrs Jung said waving her son off. "Give me a call if there's anything."

Yonghwa nodded his head before slipping into the driver's seat and soon he had driven his car out, quickly heading to the hospital.

"Hyun-ah, how are you feeling?" Yonghwa asked as he looked at Seohyun through the rear view mirror.

"I'm fine actually yeobo. There's no need to worry." Seohyun managed a smile.

"Yah! Don't lie to me. I know you're in pain there!"

"Aniyo! Sinchia! I have not felt any contractions just yet." Seohyun told her husband. "I believe I'm still in the early phase on my labor. Even if we go to the hospital now, the doctors will just send me back home later. I bet on it."

"Ah wae? Your water bag broke!" Yonghwa exclaimed. "From my understanding, if a womman's water bag broke, it means the baby's coming. That's what they've been showing on television!"

"Don't believe them. They're just creating a story plot to make it more realistic." Seohyun shrugged.

"Sinchia? Then when are you going to feel the pain?"

"I don't know. Maybe later?" Seohyun grinned. "That's why I have to count the length of the contractions. If it's still between ten to twenty minutes apart, I'm still in the early phase, so I'm not ready for birth yet. But once I get to my active phase, the length of my contractions will get closer, then that is when I really have to get ready."

Yonghwa nodded his head. "Um love, don't mind me saying this. Whatever you just told me just now, I really had no idea what you were talking about." Yonghwa said calmly, his eyes still fixed on the road ahead.

"Ah! Sinchia!" Seohyun shook her head, laughing.

******

"Have you felt any contractions yet Mrs Jung?" The nurse staff from the childbirth division asked.

Seohyun smiled and shook her head. "Aniyo. There's no contractions yet. But there are a lot of water."

"Not too worry Mrs Jung, you're doing fine." The nurse said again. "Your cervix dilation is about one centimetre. There's still a long way to go. And after doing a thorough check-up on you including the ultrasound scan, we could see that your water bag is not dried up totally. There is still about two centimetre of water left, so your baby will be fine."

"Are you sure it's perfectly alright for her to go home?" Yonghwa asked, his face serious.

"Yes, I'm positively sure Mr Jung." The nurse replied, her eyes were strangely fixed on Yonghwa. But of course he was totally oblivious of it. "Okay, let's go Hyun!" Yonghwa helped Seohyun up. They said thank you to the nurse who attended to them and left, to head straight home.

For now.

Nation's Daughter In Law

Nation's Daughter In Law

She excused herself to go to the washroom, bringing her mobile phone with her. Her steps were quick. Half of her mind was telling her not to delay the time and not allow her mother in law to wait long with her husband. Another half of her mind was telling her otherwise. 'Yah! You're nervous! She'll understand if you're late!' Her concious mind was shouting at her.

The moment she was out of hearing range from her husband and mother in law, Seohyun heaved a sigh of relief. She was not able to explain the feeling of nervousness which suddenly disappear the moment she was away from them. Finally, she could breathe comfortably.

She hurriedly walk into the empty toilet, choosing the furthest cubicle to lock herself in. She lowered down the toilet seat cover and sat herself on it. Clearly, she excused herself away from the table not because of nature's call, but more to give herself some space to release the tension that was invading her heart currently.

Yes, she, Seo Joohyun was nervous, very nervous, extremely nervous to the point that she was not able to describe that feeling in words. She liked his mother, very much. His mother was warm and friendly and was almost similar to her own mother. Seohyun could tell how loving she was by the way she hugged her and her husband earlier. The way her mother in law held her hand and walking beside her, escorting her to the car, was truly a magnificent feeling. She felt as if she had just found another mother figure which she did not know she had all these while.

Seohyun smiled as the earlier events played smoothly on her mind. But aside from the fanciness she was having towards her mother in law, she could not help but still be nervous around her. The moment her mother in law asked her if she was familiar with cooking and what types of food had she learnt how to cook, she could feel her breath being caught in her throat causing her much difficulty to answer. But still she managed to quickly respond without leaving any gap in the conversation. Then the kimchi topic came out, and Seohyun thought that she had never been so embarassed before in her life.

Another particular thing which suddenly made her shudder with a tinge of nervousness was when her mother in law was talking about the movie she watched before, of a mother in law killing her daughter in law due to jealousy. Seohyun knew that she was just joking, but the thought of it and imagining herself in the character's shoes was making her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Seohyun sighed. She just needed her own space for a few short minutes before going back to face her mother in law. She was fine, almost fine. Seohyun inhaled deeply before pulling her handphone out of her pocket. She gave a few light touches on the screen of her phone before putting in close to her ears.

"Yeobosaeyo?" Somebody on the other line answered.

"Yeobosaeyo? Unnie?" Seohyun called out, smiling.

"Ah! Hyun-ah? Have you reached Busan yet?" Taeyeon asked, her voice excited to hear news from her maknae.

"Ne. We arrived a while ago."

"So, have you met his parents yet?" Taeyeon asked again, curious.

"Ne. Only his mum. His father is out of town." Seohyun answered.

"She's in front of you now?"

"Ani. I'm in the toilet."

The line went silent for a while. "Yah! What are you in the toilet? You should be with your mother in law, getting to know her!"

"I know. But I was feeling nervous." Seohyun said, her voice turned whiny mode. "I just had to get away for a short while."

"How long have you been away?"

"About four minutes, coming to five?"

"Okay, Seohyun-ah, listen to unnie. You're the perfect daughter in law! You shouldn't be nervous!" Taeyeon said. "I would even bet with you, after your stunt in WGM, all mothers in Korea would want to have a daughter in law like you. Just like Jungshin being the nation's friend, you are the nation's daughter in law! With me second in line.

You should be proud Hyun, that you actually are given a chance to meet his mother. So you got to show to her what you really are, thanks to the proper upbringing your parents had given to you. Put the nervousness aside, and chat with her calmly. Yonghwa is there with you right?" Seohyun nodded her head. "He'll support you. Don't worry."

"Thank you unnie, for giving me the encouragement that I need!" Seohyun smiled. Her heartbeat was stabilizing. Her nervousness depleting.

"Yah! You better get out of the toilet now! Get back to your husband and your mother in law!" Taeyeon shouted through the phone. "Don't make her wait for long! You're the nation's daughter in law for God's sake!"

"Ahrasso unnie." Seohyun grinned. "I'll see you soon when I get back to Seoul."

"Okay, okay, bye! And Hyunnie-ah,"

"Ne?"

Taeyeon smiled into the phone, "Good luck!"

Seohyun placed her phone back into her pocket and smiled. She took a deep breath in before unlocking the door of the cubicle and walked out. She checked her reflection in the mirror, washed her hands, and walked out of the toilet, towards the table. She smiled the moment her eyes landed on her mother in law. Yes, she would do fine. As long as Yonghwa was beside her, she would really do fine!

'Nation's daughter in law, fighting!' Seohyun cheered quietly.

Prequel Set 8 - Ommoni To The Rescue! Part 2

Ommoni To The Rescue! Part 2

The moment he saw her stepping elegantly out of the arrival gate, his heartbeat stabilized. He rushed towards her with an uncertain smile, holding out his hands to take her bags. But the bags did not reach him. Instead she passed them over to the person who was standing behind him and he was none other than his Busan brother, Jonghyun. She turned to look at Yonghwa with a piercing gaze causing him to gulp nervously.

"O-Ommoni. You're here!" Yonghwa greeted her enthusiastically, trying to lighten the atmosphere.

"Jung Yonghwa, you're really overdoing it this time." Mrs Jung shook her head, totally feeling embarassed at her son's behaviour. "Where's my daughter in law?" The older woman looked around them trying to look-out for a pregnant lady, mainly by the name of Seo Joohyun.

"I-I didn't bring her here." Yonghwa told his mother as a matter of fact.

"Then where is she?"

"At home, I think." Yonghwa answered with his head down.

"What? You mean you don't even know where she is right now?" Mrs Jung was totally pissed. "Did you call her or see her after that episode aired?"

Literally, Yonghwa had briefly informed his mother about the crisis over the phone. She was indeed feeling very upset and had willingly agreed to come over to Seoul immediately.

Yonghwa shook his head timidly. "Ani. I was scared."

"Aish! Sinchia! This boy!" Mrs Jung sighed shaking her head.

"Wae? I'm sure she's at home now." Yonghwa said with raised eye brows. "I've sent Minhyuk and Jungshin home to see how she is doing right now."

"Aigoo!" Mrs Jung sighed again. "I really pity Joohyun right now."

"Ommoni, I'm sure hyung realizes his mistakes and is ready to apologize to her." Jonghyun said as he stepped forward, backing up his hyung.

"I hope he is." Mrs Jung eyed her son.

"I am!" Yonghwa protested.

"Ahrasso. I'll keep your word for it." Mrs Jung nodded her head.

"Hyung, ommoni, let's go." Jonghyun called out, gesturing for both the mother and son to follow him.

Yonghwa sighed. It was time to face the wrath of an angry pregnant wife of his.

******

"We're here! Hyungsoo-nim! Open the door!" Jungshin called out, his voice high with excitement.

Minhyuk stood beside Jungshin, in front of the closed door with a nervous smile. If it was not because of Yonghwa's pleadings, he would not even dared to go and see Seohyun. He knew Seohyun was angry. He knew Seohyun was pissed. And that was one of the reasons why he did not want to come here in the first place. Minhyuk shuffled his feet nervously. Jungshin was already tired from calling Seohyun out. 'She's not going to open the door. I bet my life on it.' Minhyuk thought.

But a few minutes later, a grumpy looking Seo Joohyun stood by the opened door. Her eyes were serious unlike the usual bright ones. She was also throwing a hard piercing gaze towards the two men in front of her. They had nervous smiles on their faces which portrayed guiltiness.

"What are you two doing here?" Seohyun asked, a deathly note in her voice.

Both Minhyuk and Jungshin gulped. Jungshin then grinned holding out his hands in front of Seohyun. "We're here! To visit you of course!" Jungshin exclaimed.

Jungshin and Minhyuk pushed themselves into the house and straight away headed for the sofa to sit. They had their eyes fixed onto the wall in front of them, both of them ignoring Seohyun's knowing stares.

"You know about it right?" Seohyun asked again. "About that program?"

Both Minhyuk and Jungshin looked at each other before bravely looking at Seohyun and nodded. "Ah, ne." Minhyuk answered quickly.

"He sent both of you here right?" Seohyun asked again with her eye brows raised. There was no change in her expression.

"Aigoo! Of course not!" Jungshin said quickly as he forced a chuckle. "Hyung does not even know that we're here right now, right Minhyuk?"

Jungshin poked Minhyuk on the thigh as a sign for him to continue. "Ah ne. Hyung has no idea that we're here."

Seohyun nodded. "So, why are you guys here then?"

"We're, we're..."

"That's it! He told you to come here!" Seohyun folded her arms. "Go out now."

"Ani, you don't understand!" Jungshin held up his hands, waving them crazily.

"Oh yes I do." Seohyun said, firmly. "He didn't want to come home himself, yet he send his two brothers to see how my anger is like. Well, let me show you then!"

Minhyuk and Jungshin quickly stood up and backed away from Seohyun who was charging towards them with her bulging tummy. She looked really upset and that scared the two men big time.

"Ahrasso, ahrasso. We'll go now." Minhyuk said as he follwed Jungshin quickly out of the door.

"Tell him if he's not back yet within thirty minutes, I'm leaving the house!" Seohyun screamed as she banged the door shut.

Outside, Jungshin and Minhyuk were both breathing hard, trying to catch their breath. Both of them were shocked and looking very pale. It was the first time ever they saw Seohyun getting very, very angry.

"What do we do now?" Minhyuk asked as he shook his head.

"We better run, run, run ,run, run..." Jungshin sang, trying to lighten the mood.

"Shut up! This is serious!" Minhyuk snapped, taking out his phone to quickly call Yonghwa. "Hyung! Where are you? How come you're still not back yet? Is ommoni with you now?"

******

"I'm reaching soon!" Yonghwa answered into his phone. "Ommoni's here with me."

"Pali!" Minhyuk said, his voice pleading. "She just chased us out of the house!"

"She what?"

"Yes, she chased us out! And she's giving you thirty minutes to get here. If not she's leaving!" Minhyuk said in a panic.

"Bo?!" Yonghwa's face paled. "Hold her on for me."

"Just hurry!"

Yonghwa shook his head as he placed his handphone back into his pocket. He burried his face into his hands and sighed hard.

"Hyung, wae?" Jonghyun, who was beside him driving, asked.

"Hyun's really mad at me." Yonghwa told him.

"Serves you right." Mrs Jung interrupted.

"Ommoni, you should be encouraging me, not the other way round!" Yonghwa said as he turned to look at his mother who was sitting at the backseat.

"I want to, but I really need to side with Joohyun on this." His mother told him. "She's embarassed. You told something personal to the whole country, of course she's upset! I remember the time when your father did almost the same thing to me, when I was pregnant with you. I know the feeling well."

"Ah jeongmal? What happen?" Yonghwa asked.

"I'm not telling it to you." Mrs Jung folded her arms and looked away from her son. "Because I'm still angry with you too."

Yonghwa sighed as he shook his head. He was going to have a very difficult time in coaxing the two most important women on his life to forgive him.

******

Yonghwa stepped out of the car and hurriedly ran in through the gate where he could see Jungshin and Minhyuk sitting down on the bench just beside the main door. "Where is she?" Yonghwa asked the two men.

"Inside." Jungshin told him.

"I'm going in first." Yonghwa said.

"Good luck then." Jungshin and Minhyuk said together.

Yonghwa walked towards the door and gave a knock. He placed his ear onto the door. He could hear someone moving around inside.

"WHO IS IT?" Seohyun shouted.

"Jagi-ya, it's me, Yonghwa, your husband." Yonghwa replied calmly. "Please open up. Let's talk about the program."

"I DON'T WANT TO. YOU'RE THREE MINUTES LATE!" Seohyun said. "DIDN'T THE TWO OF THEM TELL YOU?"

Jungshin and Minhyk looked at each other. 'She's talking about us?' Jungshin raised his eye brows at Minhyuk.

'I think she is.' Minhyuk nodded in understanding.

"Hyun-ah, please open the door. I can explain everything." Yonghwa pleaded.

"LEAVE ME ALONE." Seohyun answered, ignoring his pleas.

Just then Jonghyun and Mrs Jung walked through the gate. Minhyuk and Jungshin quickly ran up to her to greet her formally. They then escorted her towards Yonghwa who was still leaning against the door, pleading to his angry wife.

"She won't open?" Mrs Jung asked as she neared the door.

"Ne. I'm getting worried." Yonghwa told his mother, the sadness in his eyes. "I should have answered her calls earlier."

"You know you should." His mother shook her head. "It's too late for regrets now."

"What should we do then ommoni?" Jungshin asked. "Should we just break the door down?"

"Aigoo! You think this is an action movie?" Jonghyun stared at their maknae in disbelief.

Mrs Jung smiled. "There's no need to. Let me talk to her." Mrs Jung walked towards the door and gave a light knock.

"I SAID GO AWAY! LEAVE ME!" Seohyun shouted in anger.

"Joohyun-ah. It's me darling." Mrs Jung said in her motherly tone. "I've come all the way from Busan to see you."

They heard nothing. Everyone stayed silent. Yonghwa was silently praying, his eyes closed with his hands clasped together. Minhyuk was seated down on the bench, looking at his handphone. At times, his eyes would wander to the door to see if Seohyun would open it. Jungshin and Jonghyun were both gathered behind Yonghwa, patting his shoulders, giving him the encouragement. Mrs Jung was still standing in front of the door, with a calm smile on her face.

Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a teary-eyed Seohyun. Her face and hair was in a mess, wet from her tears. Immediately she leaned towards her mother in law into a hug. "Ommoni..." Seohyun started sobbing.

"Aigoo! Now, now, let's go in first." Mrs Jung led Seohyun into the house. Seohyun was clinging onto her, that it was almost impossible to walk. So Yonghwa stepped forward to help.

"Don't touch me." Seohyun shrugged his hands off her roughly causing Yonghwa to jump back a little.

"Joohyun, he just wants to make sure you're alright. Let him help you in." Mrs Jung said, her voice still gentle. "Anyway, I'm not strong enough to support you. I'm a grandmother Joohyun-ah, I'm an old woman."

Seohyun smiled warmly. "Aniyo. You're still young and pretty ommoni. A pretty grandmother to be exact."

"Aigoo! That's too high a compliment for me!" Mrs Jung feigned a shy chuckle.

With that short conversation, Seohyun allowed Yonghwa to hold and led her into the house towards their room. Mrs Jung stayed close to them as she did not want Seohyun to get 'rough' towards her husband whereas Jonghyun, Jungshin and Minhyuk lingered around the living room area, clearly not ready to go home just yet.

******

"Yonghwa-ya, can you please stay outside for a while?" Mrs Jung said as she looked at her son.

"Ne? But why?" Yonghwa asked, as he helped Seohyun onto the bed. "I thought you want us to talk?"

"I don't want to talk to you." Seohyun said, looking away from her husband. She pulled her arms from him the moment she was safe on the bed.

"Hyun-ah, please, I'm really sorry." Yonghwa kneeled down beside the bed, trying to grasp Seohyun's hands. But as expected, she would not allow him.

"Jung Yonghwa. Just go out first." Mrs Jung repeated, clearly a bit annoyed at her son who did not seem to understand her words.

Yonghwa sighed as he stood up, dragging his feet towards the opened door. He turned back to look at Seohyun once more. Their eyes met.

"Mianhe Hyun-ah." Yonghwa mouthed to Seohyun. "Saranghae."

Seohyun looked down. She was able to see clearly what Yonghwa had just said. He was sorry. He was really, really sorry. She could see it in his eyes. 'Am I too harsh?' Seohyun asked herself. 'Why am I so angry by the way? Whatever he said in the program was true. Is it a big deal that now every one knows about it? And the funny thing is now, I am actually fine with it! Then why am I acting this way? I just hurt him!'

Seohyun started sobbing. She buried her face into her hands. She felt guilty suddenly. Just then, she felt hands on her shoulders, caressing them gently. Seohyun looked up to see her mother in law standing beside her. She smiled through her tears.

"I'm sorry ommoni." Seohyun said, pulling at the older woman's hand. "Please sit down."

Mrs Jung smiled as she gladly sat down on the bed beside Seohyun. "Aigoo! Look at my pretty daughter in law, you're crying."

"I'm not pretty anymore." Seohyun pouted. "I'm fat."

"Aniya. You're not fat, just chubby." Mrs Jung laughed as she playfully gave a light pinch on Seohyun's cheek. "But even if you're fat, I'm sure my son would still love you with all his heart."

"You sure?"

"Of course I'm sure. He is my son."

"I know. I love him too." Seohyun wiped her tears away. "I feel sorry for hurting him just now. I should have never do that."

"Don't worry. You were angry, he'll understand." Mrs Jung stroked Seohyun's hair, tucking them tenderly behind her ears.

"To tell you the truth, I wasn't really angry with him for mentioning about my craving problems on national tv." Seohyun told her mother in law as she wiped her tears.

"Ah, sinchia?"

"Ne. I just needed the explanation from him why he did that." Seohyun continued. "But he didn't answer my calls and even said that he's coming home soon. But he didn't."

"Aigoo! This boy!" Mrs Jung shook her head.

"And now, after looking at his face, so sad with my constant screaming at him since just now, I can't bring myself to be angry with him anymore." Seohyun started to tear up again. "I'm a bad wife."

"No, no my dear. You're not." Mrs Jung pulled Seohyun close and hugged her. "You are a great wife to my son. And you're a great daughter in law to me. Everyone makes mistakes, even me. So don't go on blaming yourself over this small matter.

"In the car, on our way here, Yonghwa was feeling very guilty and I know he is sorry. Will you forgive him?"

"Ne ommoni. I love him very much." Seohyun answered quickly, never wanting to allow her mother in law to doubt her love for Yonghwa.

"I know you would forgive him. He loves you very much too." Mrs Jung said with a smile. "Aigoo! Looking at your condition now reminds me of the time I was pregnant with Yonghwa. An almost similar thing happened. I mentioned it in the car earlier but I never wanted to share it with Yonghwa."

"Ah jeongmal? What is it ommoni?" Seohyun asked, curiosity lingered in her voice.

"Well, now I can say that Yonghwa is almost similar to his aboeji." Mrs Jung chuckled.

"What did aboeji do?"

"Well, when I was pregnant with Yonghwa, I had many faults. My mood was extremely bad. It stayed like that for the whole of nine months. Everytime, when your aboeji was at home, he would try very hard to do things to impress me, such as cooking the family dinner, cleaning the house, taking care of Yonghwa's hyung. But everything was wrong in my eyes.

"So one day he had to go give a talk at a seminar, at one of the hospitals. And coincidentally, I had a check up too at the same hospital. We rode in the car together, him sending me off for my check up and he went for his seminar. You know when you give a talk in a big room you need to wear one of those small microphone where it's attached to your clothes?" Seohyun nodded. "He wore that. And so the room was already packed with staff who were attending the seminar. But just before it started, your aboeji just needed to step out for a while to greet his friend who was working in the same hospital. They shared quick stories of their lives and of course he just had to talk about me and my pregnant condition to his friend."

"Ommo! Don't tell me the mic was on!" Seohyun gasped as she held a hand on her mouth. He eyes were dazzled with laughter.

"You're right. The mic was on. But he did not know it. So that old man happily went back to the room to start off with his talk. And conincidentally the talk was about pregnancy. Can you imagine how bad it was?"

"Ne. It's a shocking disaster!"

"The moment he stepped back into the room, all eyes were on him. And some were just whispering to each other when they looked at him. Your aboeji thought it as nothing, so he proceeded with the talk. In between the talk, you are allowed to ask questions or share your opinions. And the questions posed to him were actually all about me, since they heard it all earlier. They even encouraged him to share his experiences with his currently pregnant wife." Mrs Jung sighed. "And since he had no choice now, he just had to share it with them. Even telling them that I was in the hospital currently having a check-up."

"What happen then ommoni?"

"Aigoo! The moment I had my check-up done, suddenly I received lots of flowers and gifts from the staff. Of course they checked it up with me if I am Mrs Jung, before passing those gifts to me. And then a female doctor staff came up to me, shook my hand and said, 'I understand what you are going through. It's just the change of hormones. It will soon go away. Your husband is very caring though, you should at least try to understand him too.' And so I asked her what she was talking about. And she explained to me about the discussion they had in the seminar room!"

"Ommo! That's embarassing!"

"Ne. It was embarassing for me at that time. So I quickly look for him around the hospital but I can't seem to find him. Can you imagine my anger now?"

"Ne. It's quite similar ommoni." Seohyun laughed.

"So I had to go home alone, taking a taxi. And I waited for him to come home and gave him a good scolding." Mrs Jung sighed again. "But he realised his mistakes and kept on apologizing to me constantly. I still remember, he would bring a dozen of roses home everyday for me, just to apologize. Seeing how he endured my wrath, just like you, I can't be angry with him for long."

"You're amazing ommoni. I should be more like you." Seohyun said.

"No, no. You're better than me." Mrs Jung held onto Seohyun's hands tight before gently patting her stomach. "You're a great wife. You'll do well as a mother too."

"Ommoni! Gamsahamida..." Seohyun leaned forward to hug her mother in law. "I'm so happy to have a mother like you."

"I'm happy to have a daughter like you too." Mrs Jung smiled warmly before placing a kiss on Seohyun's forehead. "Come, let's wash you up first. You're supposed to look pretty even when you're pregnant!"

Seohyun grinned, happiness enveloping her. "Ahrasso ommoni."

******

"What is taking them so long?" Yonghwa asked as he continued pacing in front of his room.

"I think ommoni is helping Hyun with her packing." Jungshin teased. Yonghwa threw him a dirty look. Jungshin gulped.

"If you could look at yourself from this position, it looks as if you're waiting impatiently for the birth of your daughter!" Jonghyun said, grinning. Yonghwa could not help but smiled himself.

"Yah! This is different." Yonghwa sighed.

Just then, the door to his room opened. His mother walked out with Seohyun following closely behind. Yonghwa could see that Seohyun was fresh from a shower. There was no longer trails of tears on her face. And the most important thing was, she smelled so nice that Yonghwa had to stop himself from embracing her!

"Hyun..." Yonghwa called out and Seohyun looked up.

"Um, I think it'll be best for us to go somewhere else." Mrs Jung said smiling. She nodded her head at her son.

"Um, ommoni, let's go to the kitchen. Minhyuk is cooking something delicious for us!" Jungshin told her as he pulled the older woman's hand. Jonghyun grinned, gave a pat on his hyung's shoulder before retreating into the kitchen himself.

Yonghwa walked slowly over towards Seohyun and stood in front of her. He tilted her chin up to face him. "Mianhe Hyun-ah. I was stupid. I should have been more aware of the surroundings before saying anything. I practically forget that we're filming. I should have..."

Yonghwa was not able to complete his sentence as Seohyun had placed a finger on his lips. "I understand yeobo-ya. I forgive you."

"Hyun-ah..." Yonghwa placed both his hands on the sides of Seohyun's head, tilted his head and leaned forward, kissing her passionately on the lips. He kissed her deeper when he heard her moaned in respond, gently biting her lower lips before licking it soothingly. It lasted for a while before he pulled himself back, resting his forehead on hers.

"Yonghwa-ya," Seohyun breathed out.

"Hm?"

"I'm sorry too." Seohyun whispered.

"What for? You didn't do anything wrong love."

"I hurt you earlier. I'm really sorry."

"You never hurt me Hyun-ah, never." Yonghwa placed tiny kisses on his wife's face as he inhaled her scent.

"Yonghwa-ya,"

"Yes love?"

"I love you." Seohyun whispered.

"I love you too." Yonghwa replied as he embraced his wife. He could not imagine living his life without Seohyun by his side.

"Hyung! Read this!" Minhyuk ran towards his hyung, totally unaware of the loving scene before him. His eyes were fixed on his handphone to notice the displayed affection, but as he neared them, he did noticed it anyway. "Aish! Can't you guys be more discreet?"

"What? You're the one who came here." Yonghwa said, loosening his hug on his wife. "Ah wae?"

Minhyuk shoved his phone into Yonghwa's hands. "Read it!"

Yonghwa did as he was told. If it was Minhyuk, there was nothing else but internet websites on his phone. Yonghwa took a glance and true enough, it was another article about Seohyun's cravings.

SEOHYUN CRAVES FOR A HAMBURGER?

Formerly one of the most favourite couple of Season 2 We Got Married, now a real husband and wife couple, Jung Yong Hwa and Seohyun made an apperance on the new variety show We Are Expecting. They became the first guests to the casts of the show, husband and wife, Jung Jin Woon and Nicole.

Unexpectedly, Yong Hwa and Jin Woon had a talk in the kitchen while doing a mission. Yong Hwa mentioned that he had a very difficult time during Seohyun's pregnancy, in particularly during her cravings' period. They travelled all the way to Japan to look for the goguma ice cream which Seohyun had been craving. But unluckily for Yong Hwa, Seohyun suddenly had a change of mind.

Adding to that, Yong Hwa also mentioned that Seohyun had a very unique temper during her pregnancy which surprised a lot of viewers.

And finally, upon returning to Japan, Yonghwa said that Seohyun suddenly had another craving, and it was none other than a hamburger!

So readers, what do you think of this? Well, personally I think that finally, we could see some changes in Seohyun! Change for the better? I bet she did! And Yong Hwa, it is nice to see you caring for your wife. And by the way, congratulations on your first child! YongSeo couple, fighting!

Leave your comments below. And show some love for the couple!

Seohyun craving for goguma ice cream? So her! Hamburgers? What a surprise! But isn't hamburgers good? Seohyun, fighting! Yong seobang, fighting!

Yonghwa grinned as he passed Minhyuk's handphone over to Seohyun. Her eyes quickly scanned the screen. Not for long, her lips formed into a smile. The couple looked over to Minhyuk who was grinning in pride.

"You did well Minhyuk-ah." Yonghwa praised.

"Of course I did. But I did not do it for you." Minhyuk said as he nodded at Seohyun. "It's for Seohyun."

"Ah! But too bad for you, she's my wife. Whatever you do for her, you do it for me too." Yonghwa replied smirking causing Minhyuk to frown irritatedly.

"Enough you two." Seohyun said, smiling. "Minhyuk-ah, thank you so much. And I'm sorry for throwing you and Junshin out of the house earlier."

"No worries on that. We're immuned to that." Minhyuk said as he jokingly pointed over to Yonghwa.

"You threw them out of the house before?" Seohyun looked over to her husband, gaping.

"It was long time ago. They came back late one night, so I just don't bother to let them into the dorm." Yonghwa shrugged.

"Kids, dinner's ready!" Mrs Jung called out as she and Jonghyun carried trays of steaks into the dining room. Jungshin on the other hand were already standing beside the table grinning.

"Wow! When did you prepare this ommoni?" Seohyun wobbled her way through towards the table with a wide grin on her face.

"Well, it wasn't me who prepared the meal." Mrs Jung replied. "Minhyuk did."

Yonghwa and Seohyun turned to look at Minhyuk in awe. "Minhyuk-ah! Daebak!" Yonghwa exclaimed.

"Hm... Smells good! Shall we eat?" Seohyun asked as Yonghwa helped her to get into her seat.

"Pregnant woman's hungry! Hurry! Before she throws us out again!" Jungshin teased.

"I'm sorry Jungshin-ah. I promise it won't happen again." Seohyun smiled, really not bothered with his constant teasings.

"Yah! Enough of that." Yonghwa glared at Jungshin causing the younger man to cower.

Finally after being scolded by Mrs Jung herself, the four men settled down at the dining table, ready to have dinner. Seohyun reached out to hold Yonghwa's hand under the table and gave it a light squeeze. Yonghwa looked at her and smiled. That was the only thing she needed at this moment, his smile.

Her Understanding

This idea of a story came from a make-believe baby call Baby Ban-Mel and how he was loved by many, especially his god-mothers from the SPD thread. He's a lucky baby.
This story is for them; Katsy unnie, Dee unnie, Grace, Dhila and Rachelle.

Her Understanding

Jung Yonghwa sat still, eyes still intact onto hers. She was not giving up. Her stares were intent and she knew he was not going to give in to her wants. This battle was going to be a hard one.

Yonghwa was all done for. His shirt had patches of water and some traces of dried cereal. He was losing to her. But he was not going to admit defeat. For the past hour he had been holding on. He wanted her to understand that he's the man of the house, so she should be the one listening to him and not the other way round.

Yonghwa then tried another stunt. He decided to give her his most dazzling smile which he knew would worked on any other females. That famous smile which would cause women falling to his feet. But unfortunately, she was not taking any of it. She was indeed smart for her age. She pouted her tongue at him before tilting her head to one side and gave him another of her toothless grin. That did it. He lost. Big time.

"Jung Hana!" Yonghwa exclaimed, burrying his face into his hands.

"Andwae! Andwae! Andwae!" Jung Hana, Yonghwa's nine month old daughter squealed happily. She had managed to force the spoon out of Yonghwa's grasp. The scoop of porridge from the spoon had landed onto his shirt once again.

"Aigoo!" Yonghwa sighed for the umpteenth time. "Why are you doing this to appa?"

"AIGOO! AIGOO!" Hana squealed again before crawling away from her father who was now trying to clear the mess of porridge she had created on the Nursery room floor.

"Darling, you'd better stay where I can see you." Yonghwa turned to his daughter who was now seated in front of her large box of toys. Hana looked at him with curious eyes before grinning again.

"Andwae! Andwae!" She replied her current favourite word to her father, still full of her toothless grin.

"You're lucky that I love you." Yonghwa mumbled as he continued to wipe the floor.

*******

"Hana, look at this!" Yonghwa placed a yellow rubber duck into the pink bathing basin.

"AIGOO!" Hana sqeualed, her eyes wide, all the while clapping her hands excitedly.

Yonghwa laughed as he watched his daughter's excitement. Her happiness was enough to make him feel good the whole day.

Bathing time was always the best routine time for Hana. She loved getting wet. She just indeed loved playing with water. It was always her omma who would entertain her in the toilet, playing with bubbles and some floaty stuff. But today was even special. Her appa was the one who was bathing her, playing with her. And she was enjoying his company very much!

"So you're learning how to say 'Aigoo' now?" Yonghwa asked his daughter in disbelief. "Why not try saying 'Appa' for a change? It's always 'Andwae' and 'Omma', always 'Andwae' and 'Omma', and now 'Aigoo'. Try saying 'Appa', 'Appa', 'AP-PAAAA."

Hana tilted her head frowning at Yonghwa. Then she grinned. "Andwae? ANDWAE!"

"This is unbeievable." Yonghwa shook his head in defeat. "Come, let's get you dry. Omma's coming home soon!" Yonghwa cooed at his daughter, lifting her up from the basin and wrapped her in a pink towel.

Yonghwa took hasty steps out of the bathroom towards his and Seohyun's bed. The moment he placed Hana on the Queen sized bed, the little girl started squealing loudly and crawled away from him. Her wet body was now creating large wet patches on the covers of the bed.

"Hana!" Yonghwa cried, climbing onto the bed himself and grabbed Hana by her feet and dragged her towards him. Hana screamed in delight, thinking that her appa was playing some kind of game with her.

"AIGOO! AIGOO! AIGOO!" Hana chanted, clapping her hands.

"Hana no!" Yonghwa held his daughter in front of him with a stern expression. His voice was deep with a slight growl enveloping it.

Hana stared at Yonghwa with her big brown eyes, without blinking. Then it started. Hana's lips twitched before wailing out loud. Her screams were defeaning that it made Yonghwa cringed a little.

"Ahrasso, ahrasso." Yonghwa cradled Hana closer to him, bouncing his hands a little to pacify her. "Mianhe. Appa loves you. Please don't cry."

Just then, Yonghwa felt his shirt getting warm and kind of wet. He held the still crying Hana away from him and noticed that she had urinated on him and it was dripping onto his bedroom carpet. Yonghwa sighed as he shook his head before carrying Hana back into the toilet to wash him and her up.

He learnt something that day; he should have put Hana's diaper on first.

******

Hana smiled wide the moment she saw her omma walked in through the front door. Immediately she held up her hands towards her omma who understood her needs most of the time. Seohyun cradled her daughter close to her before kissing the top of her head.

"How was your day sweetheart?" Seohyun cooed at her daughter who was now burrying her face into her omma's chest. "You're tired aren't you? I hope you did not give appa a hard time."

"Well, she did." Yonghwa said as he came out of the kitchen wearing an apron.

"Aigoo! What happen here? I saw our bedroom carpet hung out front." Seohyun asked, as she took in Yonghwa's appearance.

"I had to do the cleaning after the mess our dear daughter created." Yonghwa folded his arms. "And our carpet is soiled with urine. I had to wash it and hung it dry."

"Ommo!" Seohyun chuckled before looking at Hana who was staring at her with the most innocent eyes. "You were naughty weren't you?" Seohyun asked her daughter. Hana grinned and squealed happily.

"See, she just admits it." Yonghwa pointed out as he moved closer towards his wife and daughter.

"Well, yeah she did. And she said sorry." Seohyun translated, trying her best not to smile.

"Yeah right!" Yonghwa chuckled, pulling Seohyun close to him, planting a kiss on her temple.

"Andwae! Andwaaaaaaeee!" Hana screamed excitedly.

"She's been saying that a lot lately you know." Yonghwa informed Seohyun who nodded.

"I know." Seohyun answered. "I've been teaching her to call 'Appa'. But she just refused to say it."

"And she also started to say 'Aigoo' a lot!"

"It's her new favourite word yeobo. She loves saying it very much." Seohyun grinned.

"Omma." Hana said, holding onto Seohyun's cheeks. She wanted to catch her omma's attention.

"At least she's able to call you 'Omma'." Yonghwa sighed. "I can't wait for her to call me 'Appa'."

"Don't worry yeobo, she'll be able to call you 'Appa' soon enough. Right sweetheart?" Seohyun said as she pressed kisses on Hana's face.

"It doesn't matter if she calls me 'Appa' or not." Yonghwa smiled. "As long as she is always in front of us."

Seohyun smiled in return. "You did well today yeobo. Thank you for taking care of Hana so I can go for the press conference for my new book."

"It's my job too. You don't need to say thank you." Yonghwa squeezed Seohyun's shoulders before placing tiny kisses on her cheek.

"APPA! APPA!" Hana squealed out loud. "APPPPPPAAAAAA!"

Yonghwa and Seohyun immediately had their eyes fixed onto their daughter. "Did she just say what I think she just said?" Yonghwa asked in disbelief.

"Well appa, I think just did!" Seohyun exclaimed as she hugged Hana tightly.

"Assa! She finally said 'Appa!" Yonghwa cheered. "I need to brag it to Jungshin, Minhyuk and Jonghyun about this!"

"Darling, say it again, 'Appa'...." Seohyun cooed, nodding her head at Hana who was frowing.

"Say Appa, Appa...." Yonghwa took Hana from Seohyun and embraced his daughter lovingly.

After a few minutes of trying to make Hana speak again, they finally gave up. Their little girl was just staring at the both of them without saying anything. Her lips were pursed firmly together.

"Aigoo! I think she's not ready yet." Yonghwa sighed.

"Maybe." Seohyun nodded in agreement. "It's okay appa. Fighting!"

Yonghwa let Hana down onto the floor to allow her to move around freely by herself around the house. Hana crawled away but turned around again to look at her parents who were standing in each other's embrace, their eyes still lingered on her. Hana grinned her toothy smile again.

"APPA! OMMA!" Hana squealed finally causing both Yonghwa and Seohyun to jump up in surprised before running towards her. Her appa was hugging her tightly, whereas her omma was praising her non-stop. Hana grinned in understanding...

'So that's how I make them love me... Just by saying, Appa and Omma. It's easy!' Hana thought excitedly, enjoying her parents' attention.

Prequel Set 8 - Ommoni To The Rescue! Part 1

Ommoni To The Rescue! Part 1

Month 8
Week 32

Seohyun paced her way through the living room, one hand on her back while the other being placed under her bulging stomach. Her frowns were deeply engraved on her forehead, her nostrils flared and she was letting out uneven sighs. Her eyes landed on the Precious Moments clock on the wall. She had been waiting for him for almost three hours now.

Her feet were starting to ache from the walking. She sat down on the sofa grumpily. Her anger was now beyond explanations.

The cause of her anger? Well it was because of the airing of the We Are Pregnant episode whereby she and her husband, Jung Yonghwa were guests on the show, visiting the main couple, Jinwoon and Nicole. At first the atmosphere were lively and the conversations they had in the beginning of the show were somehow funny and interesting to her. The show was also very informative and Seohyun enjoyed watching it very much.

Then suddenly the mission was announced by Nicole about the husbands having to cook two dishes for their pregnant wives. During their husbands' absence, it was shown that she and Nicole had some women talk about the pregnancy and how she was very enthusiastic sharing some of her pregnancy experiences with Nicole. Then their talking scene was changed to the kitchen scene where the husbands were busy cooking and preparing the meals. Seohyun had a good laugh upon watching Yonghwa in the kitchen with Jinwoon who needed help in cooking most of the time. But then that conversation came out between Yonghwa and Jinwoon, in front of the recorded camera.

Seohyun's facial expression changed the moment she heard whatever Yonghwa was telling Jinwoon. She gritted her teeth and let out a loud, exasperating sigh. Immediately Seohyun made a grab for her handphone. She just needed an explanation from him.

She had his number on the quick dial and soon the phone lines connected. After a few rings, her call was suddenly rejected. Seohyun bring her handphone down from her ear and glared at it before redialling her husband again. And again the same thing happened, her call being rejected all the same.

At times like this, she just needed to send him a threatening message ---

JUNG YONGHWA!
YOU BETTER CALL ME BACK RIGHT NOW BEFORE I GO OUT OF THE HOUSE IN THIS CONDITION AND LITERALLY LOOK FOR YOU.
AND DON'T TRY ANYTHING FUNNY WITH ME. AND DON'T EVEN ASK JUNGSHIN, MINHYUK OR EVEN JONGHYUN OPPA TO HELP YOU. IF THEY WERE TO DO THAT, ALL FOUR OF YOU ARE REALLY GOING TO GET INTO TROUBLE!
CALL ME NOW!

The minute the message was sent, Seohyun inhaled deeply, trying to cool her body and mind down. Then a reply to her text came.

Jagi-ya...
I'm on my way home right now. And I can't answer your calls as I am behind the wheels. I'll be home soon love! See you!

His reply was short and sweet making Seohyun even angrier. She slammed the phone down onto the coffee table before retreating into her bedroom to rest. She thought of locking her bedroom door so Yonghwa would not be able to come in see her. And she did just that.

But three hours later, he was still not home yet as he promised earlier and that made her even furious! She finally unlocked herself from the comfort of her room and decided to wait outside in the living room for her MIA husband.

"Just you wait." Seohyun said calmly as her eyes glared at the front door. "You'll see what happens when you come home later."

******

*Almost three hours before*

"Hyung! Hyung!" Jungshin ran into the office shouting. He was definitely out of breath as he stood in front of Yonghwa.

"What's wrong with you?" Yonghwa asked eyeing his group's maknae up and down.

"The show!" Jungshin coughed. "The show! It's airing with your episode!"

Yonghwa frowned. "What show?"

"The We Are Expecting! It's on!"

"Ah sinchia? It's good isn't it?" Yonghwa grinned as her walked past Jungshin towards his table.

"It's good but you told Jinwoon about Seohyun's cravings in front of national tv!" Jungshin exclaimed.

"Bo?! It can't be!" Yonghwa frowned. "You must be mistaken."

"Aniyo! We heard it hyung! We heard it!" Jungshin informed. "We were watching it together in the practice room. And we were positive we heard the thing correctly!"

Yonghwa gulped. Did he just told Jinwoon about Seohyun's cravings and their problematic problem in Japan, in front of a recorded camera? But how come he did not notice it? Aigoo! He's a dead man for sure.

"You had better explain it to Seohyun." Jungshin told him. "Don't ever deny a pregnant woman's temper."

"Uh, do you think she watched the episode already?" Yonghwa asked in a worried tone.

"Of course! She's home the whole day!"

"I'm dead!" Yonghwa shook his head in disbelief. He sat down on his chair, throwing his head into his hands.

"We know." Jonghyun suddenly said as he and Minhyuk entered their office. Each of them had teasing smirks on their lips.

"It was okay to just tell us about your problems hyung. We could understand and have our mouths sealed. But telling the nationwide is really crazy!" Minhyuk shook his head.

"I've embarassed my own wife in front of the whole country! Ottoke?" Yonghwa asked worriedly. The other three men in front of him just shrugged.Yonghwa sighed dejectedly.

Yonghwa's handphone rang suddenly. Just as he was about to answer the phone, he noticed Seohyun's name appearing on his phone. Yonghwa inhaled a sharp breath before pressing the reject button on his phone.

"Ah wae? Why didn't you answer the call hyung?" Jonghyun asked, his lips puckered towards the small device on Yonghwa's hand.

"It's Seohyun." Yonghwa told him.

"Ah! She must have watched it." Minhyuk shrugged.

Yonghwa's phone rang for the second time. The same thing, Yonghwa pressed the reject button again. He was not ready to answer any of Seohyun's calls yet. Especially when she was in her furious mode.

His phone beeped again for the third time indicating that he had just received a text message. Yonghwa gulped again. Without even looking at the recipient, he knew that the message was from his wife. Putting on a brave front, he opened the message that he had just recieved. And true enough it was from Seohyun. Just reading the message was ablt to make him shiver all the way to his spine.

"What did she say hyung?" Minhyuk asked conciously.

"She said that the three of you are not supposed to cover me up." Yonghwa said. "She wants me to call her back. Aigoo! This is freaking scary!"

"Well, we don't intend to help you either hyung." Jungshin replied carelessly, causing him to get a hit on the head by Jonghyun.

"I'm getting confused now." Yonghwa sighed.

"Pali hyung! You should reply her before she come here and create a havoc!" Minhyuk said.

Yonghwa thought carefully before replying a message to Seohyun. He decided to lie to her saying he was on his way home, but in real fact, he was still on his office chair, still pretty unsure of what actions to take.

"Hyung, look at this." Minhyuk came up to him, holding his handphone out to Yonghwa. The phone was connected to an internet server and before him, the news of Seohyun's cravings during pregnancy were all over the web page. Yonghwa felt his chest tightened. 'I'm so dead!' He thought without fail.

"You should find a solution as fast as you could hyung." Jonghyun spoke up.

"I know. But what?" Yonghwa sighed again. "I feel so helpless now."

"Why not call your mum down?" Jonghyun suggested, grinning. "Seohyun's in love with her! And she would definitely listen to ommoni!"

Yonghwa looked up upon hearing Jonghyun's suggestion. His face glittered with hope, so different from his sour expression earlier. "That's a great idea you got there Jonghyuy-ah!" Yonghwa exclaimed with his satoori accent.

"We could try that!" Jungshin grinned clapping Jonghyun's shoulder.

"Minhyuk, can you check for me the earliest flight you can get from Busan to Seoul?" Yonghwa said.

"Sure! I'm a handy man!" Minhyuk grinned, suddenly glad that he could be of help.

Yonghwa held up the phone in front of him and breathed in deeply. He dialled his mother's number and waited for her to answer his call. He was overjoyed the moment he heard her soft and loving voice on the other line that he thought he could cry at that very moment.

"Ommoni! Can you come down to Seoul right now?" Yonghwa said into the phone. "It's urgent."

Always YongSeo

Always YongSeo

"So it's TeukSeo couple now isn't it?"

That simple question from him was suddenly giving her a very difficult time. She took a deep breath before turning around to face him. He had a lopsided smirk plastered on his face as he stood there in front of her with his arms folded across his chest. 'What? Is that a jealousy vibe I'm getting from him?' She thought.

"What? Do you think I'm jealous?" He questioned her, much to her dismay.

'What? He could read my mind now?' She sighed.

"You're just like an open book Seohyun-ah." He grinned. "You're very easy to read."

'Okay, now it's getting creepy.' Seohyun shivered slightly. She stared at her virtual husband through slit eyes.

"You haven't answer my first question." Yonghwa said as he stared back. "TeukSeo couple? Isn't there any other group name which you could choose in the first place? TeukSeo? Seriously, can't you guys be original?"

"It's the closest thing we could think off." Seohyun shrugged.

"But it's just so, so, so...."

"So what?" Seohyun raised an eyebrow.

"So... Copyrighted!" Yonghwa exclaimed.

"That's it. You're jealous." Seohyun accused him as she walked towards their famous yellow sofa and sat on it. She crossed her legs and folded her arms, all the while never leaving her stare on him.

"I'm not!"

"Yes you are."

"I'm not jealous and that's that." Yonghwa said as he went forward and took a seat beside Seohyun.

"Then why are you so bothered about the TeukSeo couple thingy?" Seohyun grinned. She was sure he was indeed jealous, but never wanted to admit it.

"Well, I'm just asking." Yonghwa shrugged.

"It's just a group name. Don't think too much about it okay." Seohyun gave a pat on Yonghwa's shoulder, the teasing grin never leaving her face.

"Yeah, you're right." Yonghwa smiled insincerely. "It's just a group name. I'm cool with it."

"Right. If you're cool with it, so, next time when I'm in a group with another guy, is it okay if I use his name and mine combined together?" Seohyun said as she placed her hand under her chin, pretending to think hard. "If it's with Onew oppa, it'll be OnSeo couple. If it's with Minho, it'll be MinSeo couple. If it's with Chansung oppa, it'll be ChanSeo couple. If it's with Jungmo oppa, it'll be JungSeo couple. If it's with..."

"Yah!" Yonghwa cut Seohyun off, his voice totally annoyed. "The only name which fits best with yours is Yonghwa. It's always YongSeo couple. Y-O-N-G-S-E-O. YongSeo." He emphasized.

Seohyun giggled hard until tears streamed down her face. She found Yonghwa's reactions very funny and of course cute! But Yonghwa was totally unaware of it.

"What? Did I say something funny?" Yonghwa asked, his lips pouting. "What's with OnSeo? MinSeo? JungSeo?" He continued grumbling.

"Just admit it oppa, you're jealous." Seohyun nudged him, still giggling.

"Yeah, so what if I'm jealous? Guys can't be jealous?"

"Ani. Of course you can." Seohyun said as she wrapped her arms around his arm. "And to tell you the truth, I love watching your jealous side."

"Ah wae?" Yonghwa sat up, pulling Seohyun with him. She snuggled closer.

"Well, it makes me feel important." Seohyun told him.

"Joohyun-ah. You're always important to me you know that right?" Yonghwa said, shrugging his arm off from Seohyun's grasp, before wrapping his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close to him. "Always."

"Hm, I'm glad you admit that you're jealous. If not, I wouldn't mind continue teasing you!" Seohyun grinned and gave a peck on Yonghwa's cheek.

"You naughty girl!" Yonghwa pinched her nose lightly causing her to pout. "Remember, it's always YongSeo and no other!"

"Aighesumida..."

Seohyun smiled, closing her eyes, as she leaned further into Yonghwa's warm embrace.

Experiences and Preparations

Month 7
Week 28

He stood outside the pub waiting for the rest of the husband figures to arrive. At times he would take a peek at his watch. It was another monthly Friday where the husbands would meet up to have a drink together at their usual pub whereas the wives would have a simple gathering down at one of their house. It was always the five of them meeting, him, Seohyun's husband, Junsu, Hyoyeon's husband, Joongki, Tiffany's husband, Taehwan, Taeyeon's husband and Jeremy, Jessica's husband. They started with this routine of monthly meeting eversince some of them started dating the SNSD girls and it continued up till now.

A few seconds later, he saw Junsu and Joongki turning round the corner, walking towards him in a hurry. They had similar sheepish grins on their faces.

"You waited long?" Junsu asked handing out his hand to shake Yonghwa's. Joongki did the same, the grin never leaving his face.

"About ten minutes or so." Yonghwa replied. "How's the family?"

"We're good. And Jaebum is going crazy with his drum set which we just bought for him for his birthday." Junsu said laughing. "And Hyoyeon had warned me not to come home too drunk tonight. Well, she also remind me not to let you drink any alcohol since Seohyun is pregnant and may due anytime soon, so she wants you to be on alert."

"Ah sinchia-yo?" Yonghwa asked, the shock enveloping his face. "I don't intend to drink either. I'm in charge of driving tonight." Yonghwa dangled his car keys in front of Junsu and Joongki's face.

"Great!" Joongki clasped his hands together. "So where are the rest?"

"Taehwan said he'll be a little delayed. Jeremy will only be back next week. So he won't be joining us tonight." Yonghwa explained.

"He's back in America now? Alone or with Jessica?" Joongki asked.

"I think both of them are in America now. Seohyun told me that they are launching a new design soon."

"Ah, I see." Junsu and Joongki nodded in understanding.

"And I invited someone else other than our usual clan." Yonghwa informed causing both men to look up at him.

"Who?" Junsu asked curiously.

"Jinwoon. I met him two weeks ago and I mentioned to him of this meeting we always have. He seems interested and so I asked him to join us." Yonghwa shrugged.

"Ah! My one day brother!" Junsu was estatic. "He's alright!"

"Ah! Jinwoon from 2AM?" Joongki nodded in understanding.

"Yeah. Seohyun and I were invited to be his guests for his new show. That was where I met him."

"New show? What new show?" Junsu frowned.

But before Yonghwa could answer, Jinwoon had arrived. He was full of smiles when he approached them. "Annyohaesayo!" Jinwoon greeted the three men enthusiastically. Junsu was practically thrilled to meet Jinwoon. They exchanged handshakes and hugs before going into the pub for their usual monthly chats.

The pub was quiet as usual as there were not many visitors who would frequent the place. As soon as one of the staff saw Yonghwa, Junsu and Joongki's familiar faces, he straight away led them to a private room towards the back. They had been regular customers of the pub for quite some time and so they were always given the best service.

"Aigoo! Finally another husbands' night out!" Joongki exclaimed.

"But don't forget, it's also the wives' night out." Yonghwa reminded. "And it's at my house tonight." The rest of the men nodded including Jinwoon.

Similarly like the husbands, the wives will also meet up once a month, the same meeting night as their husbands. This month, they decided to meet up at Yonghwa and Seohyun's house.

"So is Nicole joining them tonight?" Yonghwa asked as he looked over at Jinwoon who was walking behind him.

"Ne. She called me earlier to inform me that she was on the way." Jinwoon replied.

The four men entered the private room and seated themselves before ordering some beverages. They started conversing about their family lives and most questions were directed at Jinwoon and Yonghwa on the latest program they had filmed together recently.

"It's called We Are Expecting. Since my wife is pregnant so we decided to join the program." Jinwoon explained.

"And I was invited as their guest, since Seohyun is pregnant as well." Yonghwa added. "The program is about pregnancy, and they want to add variety vibes into the program to make it more interesting."

"So it's similar to We Got Married? Only in a pregnant way?" Junsu chuckled at his own joke causing the rest to laugh at his silliness.

"So when's Seohyun's due Yonghwa-ya?" Junsu asked as he took a sip from his drink.

"Um, end April. It's suddenly approaching very fast!" Yonghwa grinned as he rubbed both his hands together.

"It's very exciting right?" Jinwoon asked, looking at the other older men in front of him, Junsu and Joongki. They had sour looks on their faces which were quite surprising to Yonghwa as well as Jinwoon. "Ah wae?"

"Yah, when I was about to become a father, I felt very excited too, just like what you two are feeling right now." Junsu said, his eyebrows frowning suddenly. "But it's not an easy ride I tell you."

"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late!" Park Taehwan exclaimed as he entered the private room and went up straight to take a seat beside Yonghwa.

"Where were you?" Joongki asked the moment Taehwan was finally settled.

"I had a meeting with the Sports Council." Taehwan replied, grinning.

"By the way, this is Jinwoon. I'm sure you know him right? 2AM?" Yonghwa introduced Jinwoon to Taehwan.

"Ah ne. Annyohaesayo." Jinwoon and Taehwan formally greeted each other.

"I do know him through Jokwon." Taehwan grinned. "Nice to see you again."

"Yeah you too." Jinwoon nodded.

"So how's everyone? Wives? Kids?" Taehwan asked around.

"All great. Everyone's healthy!" Joongki answered for everyone. "And Jaebum's gotten a new drum set and he's driving Junsu and Hyoyeon crazy."

"Ah sinchia?" Taehwan grinned.

"Yeah! He's learning to play the drums properly of course!"

"Cool. He'll do great!" Taehwan nodded before turning his head towards Yonghwa. "And how's our father-to-be?"

"Yah, now there's two fathers-to-be. Jinwoon's wife, Nicole, is pregnant too." Junsu added, grinning.

"Sinchia? Great, let me welcome you to the father's club then!" Taehwan exclaimed who held out a hand towards Jinwoon who accepted it willingly with a grin.

"Jinwoon here, he said he can't wait to be a father. And I told him, the three of us," Junsu gestured to himself, Joongki and Taehwan, "were like that once too, until the day our wives wanted to give birth." Taehwan nodded in agreement.

"Wae? What happen exactly?" Yonghwa asked, curiosity was clear in his eyes. "It's not that bad right?"

"Well, of course each of us had different experience but it had the same conclusion." Joongki said. "That morning when Fany felt the contractions, I felt as if I was in hell. I understand that she was in a lot of pain, and she was freakingly getting mad at me for no reason at all. All I did that day was wrong. She got all snappy and even screamed at me not to touch her."

"Aigoo! You should have seen Hyo. She was worse I tell you." Junsu started talking. "We were in the delivery room already and as the husband and the baby's father, I was of course allowed to come in to give support to my wife. But no! She was practically pushing and chasing me away! She even scratched my arms and pulled my hair! The best thing was she blamed me for getting her pregnant! How ridiculous is that you tell me?"

"Taeyeon was almost similar!" Taehwan added. "I was being hit like a punching bag from our home all the way to the hospital. She kept shouting to me that it was the last time she'd even get pregnant and after giving birth, there'll be no more sex for us! She was shouting it as if it's nobody's business. There were lots of people and everybody's eyes were on us! It was damn embarassing!"

"Did that really happen hyung? It seems as if you are creating a story." Jinwoon started grinning at Junsu, Joongki and Taehwan.

"Ani. We're telling the truth." Taehwan answered.

"Sinchia-yo? That's scary." Yonghwa gulped. "Do you think Seohyun will be like that?"

"You'd never know. You look at Fany. She looks so sweet and adorable and cute. But when it comes to giving birth, she's nuts!" Joongki shivered.

"Usually, the quiet and reserved type of person are the ones who's going to create a scene later on." Taehwan nodded his head at Yonghwa who was leaning back against the chair. His face was suddenly pale as he remembered the events which had happened previously during Seohyun's pregnancy process.

"But hey, different women will act differently right?" Jinwoon tried to brighten the atmosphere up again. He glanced at Yonghwa's worried face and he knew so much what Yonghwa had gone through. "Cheer up Yonghwa! Seohyun's not going to be like that. You know her right?"

"Yah! Don't worry so much." Junsu added as he pat Yonghwa's shoulder as if giving him the encouragement. "It's still two months away. There's still time for you to prepare."

Yonghwa shrugged. How could he not worry?

"I hope Sica will give us some new designs to us as a present." Tiffany pouted, with her hands clasped together.

"She'll think twice before giving one to you." Hyoyeon laughed.

"If she's a good friend, she'll surely have something prepared." Tiffany nodded. "She needs make up for missing the monthly meeting this month."

"Let's just wait and see how our ice princess apologize for being absent." Taeyeon grinned as she dumped an empty packet of cashew nuts on the living room table.

Just then, Seohyun wobbled her way towards the living room with a tray filled with glasses in her hands. The lively atmosphere in her house was definitely making her feel very happy and relaxed. She smiled as she placed the tray down on the table.

"Aigoo! Why didn't you tell me to help you with this?" Tiffany asked as she ushered Seohyun towards the sofa and forced her to sit down.

"Unnie, don't worry I can manage." Seohyun blurted out but Tiffany just plainly ignored her. "Unnie..."

"Yah! Just sit down and rest will you?" Taeyeon said as she pointed to Seohyun's stomach. "You're big enough already."

"I'm not that big unnie!" Seohyun whined.

"Admit it Seohyun-ah. You do feel tired right?" Hyoyeon asked, grinning.

"Aigoo. I can't hide it from all of you right?" Seohyun pouted. "You guys are more experienced than I am."

"That, you're so right!" Taeyeon smirked as she continued pouring drinks for everyone.

Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Tiffany and Nicole were gathered at Seohyun's house for the wives' monthly meeting. It was Nicole's first time for the gathering, but she adapted well with the ex-SNSD's members. The moment she entered Seohyun's house, Tiffany was the first to be attached to her, telling her to sit and be comfortable with them. Nicole was indeed very happy to be welcomed to the mother's group.

"So unnie, how was your labour experience? Is it crazily painful?" Nicole asked Taeyeon as she continued munching on the currently favourite snack, chocolate wafer.

"Yeah! Tell us unnie!" Seohyun said, her eyes glinting excitedly.

Taeyeon smiled. "Well, it was the best experience for me. Although it was painful, but I strive hard just to see my two perfect angels."

"Was it just painful or really really painful?" Seohyun asked again, her eyes clouded with worry.

"It was damn painful I tell you. The contractions are the ones which made me feel as if my heart was going to burst!" Tiffany answered shaking her head. "But of course I keep myself relaxed and control my breathing. I was trying not to make your Joongki oppa panicked you see."

"Ah! Yes, that reminds me during my delivery time." Hyoyeon nodded. "We were in the labour ward and he knew I was going to give birth soon, but he was the one shouting in a rush, telling me to push and continue breathing in front of the nurses! Aigoo! Thinking of it just makes me embarassed."

"Ah sinchia?" Seohyun laughed shaking her head.

"Aigoo. Sometimes, these husbands are the ones exaggerating when we're the ones who's giving birth and not them." Taeyeon said.

"I wonder how my husband will react when my time comes." Nicole sighed. "He did fainted when he got to know that I am pregnant."

"Sinchia?!" Tiffany exclaimed before breaking down into heaps of laughter.

"Are you being serious? Fainting?" Taeyeon asked, her expression shocked.

"Really. It's true." Nicole nodded her head. "That's why now I am suddenly worried about his reactions later."

"Don't worry Nicole, Jinwoon will be fine." Seohyun pat Nicole's shoulder, smiling.

Seohyun watched as her unnies and Nicole continued with their conversation. Every now and then she would smile and nodded her head as if she was listening to them. But in actual fact, she was actually thinking about what she was going to face later on during labour. Was she going to give birth exactly on her due date or earlier than expected? Will Yonghwa be with her during that time or will she be left alone? Will she have a normal birth or will there be a need for an operation? Those questions were lingering on her mind. Of course, she always hoped for the best but still she was expecting for the worst.

"What are you thinking about Seohyun-ah?" Nicole asked suddenly causing Seohyun to come out from her reverie.

"Ani." Seohyun answered as she shook her head. "Um, would you like to look at our baby's nursery?"

"Nursery? It's ready?" Tiffany squealed, grasping her hands together under her chin. "I just love looking at Nurseries!"

"I still remember the time me and my husband decorated our twin's nursery." Taeyeon sighed as she smiled. "We were so excited about it and we wanted to provide the best things for them."

"Every parent will be like that. The same thing goes for me." Hyoyeon nodded. "I even peruaded Junsu oppa to get the most expensive stroller for Jaebum when he was not even borned yet!"

"Yeah yeah! I was like that too!" Tiffany added grinning. "I was the expert in wasting money when buying baby stuff."

"Have you bought the baby stuff yet?" Taeyeon looked at Seohyun and asked.

"Of course unnie! The CNBlue uncles were even making sure that the stuff are complete. If not, they'll shop for more." Seohyun told her guests.

"Ah sinchia? Your baby is so lucky to have uncles like them." Tiffany squealed.

"Come let's take a look at the nursery." Seohyun stood up and ushered her sisters and Nicole towards the nursery which was all ready to be viewed.

They spent all night talking and sharing stories with each other until their husbands got back from the pub. The almost drunkened Taehwan, Junsu and Jinwoon were driven home by their wives. Joongki on the other hand opted not to get drunk for the night, so he was in a fit state to drive his wife home.

Seohyun and Yonghwa waved their goodbyes until their friends' cars were gone from sight before heading into the comfort of their own homes. Yonghwa sighed out loud as he started clearing up their living room which was scattered with lots of food wrappers, empty bowls, plates and glasses.

"What is this? You ladies had a bachelorette party earlier?" Yonghwa teased.

"Bo? You're so bad!" Seohyun punched her husband's shoulder playfully. Yonghwa grinned enjoying the mirth in teasing her while his hands still work hard in cleaning.

"So what did you ladies talk about?" Yonghwa asked.

"Hm, well, we talked about our baby names, I allowed them to visit the nursery, then we talked about the kids and I also asked the unnies about giving birth." Seohyun replied as she sat down on the sofa, rubbing her stomach gently.

"Oh sinchia?" Yonghwa raised his eyebrows. "So, did they tell you how they react? Of course they are in pain so they might have acted a bit um violently?"

"Ne? Aniyo." Seohyun said laughing as she waved her hands. "They were calm and tried their best to overcome the pain. I should be like that too."

"Really? How did you know?" Yonghwa frowned. It was not supposed to sound that way right?

"They tell me of course!"

"And you believe them?" Yonghwa asked in shock.

"Well, is there any reasons for me not to believe them?"

"Well, to tell you the truth, we were talking about giving birth as well."

"Ah sinchia-yo?" Seohyun looked at her husband in surprise. "Such an awkward topic to be discussed about amongst men."

"Well, me and Jinwoon did ask them about it." Yonghwa shrugged.

"So what did they say?" Seohyun pulled Yonghwa to sit down next to her.

"Junsu, Taehwan and Joongki hyung said that their wives transformed into something else during labour." Yonghwa said, his eyes locking onto Seohyun's brown ones.

"Like?"

"Tiffany don't even let Joongki hyun touch her. And she kept blaming him for getting her pregnant. And Hyoyeon beat the hell out of Junsu in the labour ward. And Taeyeon threatened Taehwan that they were not going to have sex anymore!" Yonghwa told his wife. His eyes were rounded in terror.

Seohyun on the other hand laughed hysterically. "You're kidding!"

"Aniyo! You should have seen their faces while they told me this! It's true!"

Seohyun stopped laughing and thought for a moment. "Hm, I guess it could be true. Since it is supposed to hurt a lot during the labour process. " Seohyun had her fingers brushing against her chin as she nodded absent-mindedly. "So, since they are in pain, they could not rationalise their own thinking. Hm, I understand."

Yonghwa stared at his wife in surprise. How could she know so much when she herself had not even gave birth yet?

"Aigoo! Why are you staring at me like that?" Seohyun asked, frowning.

"I'm just amazed at how you know so much!"

"Yeobo-ah, don't you remember there are such things as books?" Seohyun raised an eyebrow.

"Aish! Sinchia! I forgotten that you read." Yonghwa pulled Seohyun to him, hugging her tight. His left hand landed on her stomach, stroking it tenderly.

"Yong..." Seohyun whispered as she placed her head on Yonghwa's shoulder, leaning into his embrace.

"Hm?"

"If I were to react a bit differently when I give birth to our princess, can you please bear with it?" Seohyun said, her eyes travelled up to look at her husband's face. "Please be patient with me will you?"

"Joohyun-ah, of course I will." Yonghwa replied as he pressed a kiss into her temple. "I will try my best to understand you. Anyway, you're the one bearing the pain of giving birth to our princess, I should appreciate that."

"I'm glad you think that way." Seohyun smiled. "I might get a bit regretful during that time. Because of the pain, I might might lose conscience and might say things which I don't mean."

"Ahrasso. I will keep that in mind. Don't you worry." Yonghwa grinned, enjoying the comfort he was feeling at that moment, just being together with his wife.

"Aigoo! I'm so tired!" Seohyun sighed.

Yonghwa continued grinning as he bent down towards Seohyun's stomach. "Baby? You hear that? You are making omma tired you know?" Yonghwa said, trying to hold in his laughter.

"Ah sinchia! What are you doing?" Seohyun whined as she tried to get up but was unable to as Yonghwa held onto her tight, forcing her to continue sitting.

"Wae? Can't I talk to my own daughter?" Yonghwa asked, pouting.

"Okay, go ahead." Seohyun shrugged. "Actually, the more you talk to her like this, the more she could recognise our voices. Then, when she's borned, she'll know who are the people who has been talking to her previously."

"Wow! That's neat! So she'll recognise her omma and appa then?"

"Ne. Since it's our voice she's been hearing most of the time. So she'll react well to out voices once she's borned later."

"Aigoo! Now I really can't wait for her to be borned!" Yonghwa exclaimed, kissing Seohyun tenderly on her cheek.

"Me too Yeobo, me too!" Seohyun replied, smiling. "But, before that, we really need to clear all those mess first yeobo." Seohyun pointed to the still messy living room to her husband who sighed even louder than before.

"Ahrasso! I'll clean up first," Yonghwa said before pointing to Seohyun, "and you, stay here and relax."

"I know yeobo. I'm all ready to relax!" Seohyun pulled her legs up onto the sofa, as she leaned back against the armrest, wiggling her feet excitedly.

"Good. I'll be back soon!" Yonghwa placed another lingering kiss on the crown of Seohyun's head before moving off to start washing the plates and glasses in the kitchen.

"Clean it well love!" Seohyun shouted after Yonghwa's retreating back.

"Ahrasso Hyun!" Yonghwa shouted back a reply causing Seohyun to giggle happily.
